Armenian-German singer and model Iveta Mukuchyan moves from strength to strength. She recently released a powerful video preview for her new song “Simple Like A Flower”. Now Armenian web site blognews.am claims that the “Target” singer will represent her homeland at Eurovision in 2016.
Citing sources close to ARMTV, Armenia’s Eurovision broadcaster, the site reports that Iveta has already been internally selected and that the announcement is imminent. Hopefully Armenia will also confirm their participation for 2016 before then.
Born in Armenia, Iveta moved to Germany when she was just five years old. But when she reached her early 20s, her parents suggested she return to the Motherland
Iveta first came to public attention in Armenia in 2010 while competing on the singing show Hay Superstar (the Armenian version of Pop Idol), where she eventually placed fifth. Before this she was studying jazz-vocal and it sure paid off! In 2012 she competed on The Voice of Germany and gave her own rendition of “Euphoria”, eventually making it to the live shows. You can’t deny her powerful voice, y’all! (see what we did there?)
Previously named Armenia’s sexiest woman, Iveta has been known to the Eurovision community for quite some time. Last year hopes were high that she would represent the country, potentially as a part of Genealogy.
Would you like Iveta to represent Hayastan? Do you think she could get a good result with her cool vibes? Let us know!

Mario please stop making comments,we have already understood that you do not like not alone. It mean nothing for us we love him ,his charisma and his song.So calm down
She has a great voice, i really like her song Target and maybe she’ll get points from my country hahaha (Germany)
I don’t think she’s that great. She good but I think Armenia can find someone stronger.
@Mario you cant say a lot of other eurofans thought that same way. He ended up in 4th position. Clearly a lot of people voted for him.
I thought Not Alone was brilliant, one of my favorites in 2014.
But please don’t big up the song like ‘Face The Shadow’ – it was such a hot mess. But I guess Armenia has worse songs 2013 was the absolute worst!
I don’t care who Armenia sends as long as the quality is reminiscent of ‘Jan Jan’ and ‘Not Alone’ – Iveta seems great but honestly Armenia has such talented songwriters I couldn’t care less.
Eugene absolutely agree with you
she’s got this exotic look which is a plus and her range seems strong enough.
I would send this Syrian-Armenian ‘journalist’ called Yerado Krikorian. She has a broad mouth and could definitely ‘sing’ on Assad’s orders…she’s a one scary looking woman with lots of make up…

Her or Sofi Mkheyan would do
about her euphoria performance… why would anyone wanna improvise such a masterpiece of a song? and it’s not even done right. :/
nice voice. pretty girl. i say yes!
Yeah.Iveta is beatifull and talented she can impress. That would be a great suprise from sunny Armenia. Also her song Target is really hot and so beatifull. It would be amazing to see the wining of Armenia. And finally eurovision will move sunny and new place.Love and regards dear Hayastan jan
Her live vocals are decent enough to stand out among the normally subpar other live vocals so thats a good sign. It would be great if they sent her, even though I can’t imagine her singing a song like “qele qele” or “apricot stone” which i would love sooo much lol. Maybe a jazzy/classic type of song is just what Armenia needs to set them apart and place well this year!
Thank you #Marioavision for the review
This would be absolutely perfect.
Yes,please
