For next the few weeks, over 40 OGAE clubs will be voting for their favourite songs in this year’s contest. The first four set of votes were revealed over this week when OGAE Belarus, OGAE Rest of the World, OGAE Slovenia and OGAE Switzerland awarded their points. And already there’s a clear leader.
After the first votes, Russia’s Sergey Lazarev takes the lead. OGAE Belarus and OGAE Slovenia ranked his song the best, while OGAE Rest of the World and OGAE Switzerland have Sergey in second place.
Currently in the second place overall is France’s Amir. OGAE Switzerland awarded France the big douze points, while other three OGAE clubs ranked him in the top three. In third place is Australia’s Dami Im, who got the top points from OGAE RoW. The top three is followed by Austria’s Zoë, Spain’s Barei and Bulgaria’s Poli Genova.

It looks like we’re going to have another 2011 situation where the bookies and OGAE are completely random. I can see France doing decently tho.
The number of voters is 0 in Switzerland, how can that be?
Russia cant winn. They love start war, murder people and are homophobiq. France or Sweden are the winner this year. A wote for Russia, its a wote for Puttin
@Noname
Small error in this article, says Belarus gave 8 points to Belarus.
haha, they will definitely do it, if nude dude with wolves will be not sufficient to crawl into final
I am from Italy and still can’t understand why do people is getting these polls so seriously…
I mean: this is a contest and not a matter of death or life; everybody should be free to express its own opinion.
Let’s enjoy the party: no matter who’s going t be the final winner!

LGBT people have the same human rights, even in Russia. And no, they do not deserve better than others.
lol poor sweden
Flop, flop, flop…esa palabra que se quede en yu blogg.
Amir is the arabian Mans…no big differences in their characteristics.
So if every year we gonna give the mic to a good looking guy who sings softly, I’m done with this.
Calling for diversity. Something innovative & contemporary. Europe as a staging show powerhouse. Always going one step ahead.
ireland, russia and france got points hooray.
ukraine in the top 10 😉
armenia getting more points than croatia is a surprise tbh
My OGAE –
12 – Spain
10 – Bulgaria
08 – Ireland

06 – Norway
05 – Italy
04 – Iceland
03 – Australia
02 – France

combine ogae polls and odds: In 2014 OGAE had Sweden, Hungary, Israel and Austria…and a bit behind Netherlands, while odds had Netherlands 20 and Conchita 13,….@ the end Israel failed in semi, Hungary was strong (5th) But Austria and Netherlands made the race. In 2015 Sweden, Italy and Russia were strong either in poll and adds, Austria in odds oscillating between25 and30, in OGAE 0, ended up NILL. I suppose, Zoe might B the dark horse, coz in the simplicity of this entry, there´s a way for short escapism. Who will experience Israel´s undeserved kick out like 2014? I think,… Read more »
I don’t get the hype around frances song I just don’t get it. it sound good but its just a normal song nothing different at all
I don’t understand why Iceland has got nothing so far, it’s AMAZING. Not only that though, but there are some other awesome songs that have got next to no points, too. If the polls were to end here then I’d REALLY hope that the real Eurovision results were nothing like what they are so far in the OGAE polls.
Odds are SOOOOO wrong this year
OGAE Poll is SOOOO wrong this year
Just getting blown by the wind
I have my personal stand out favorite, but I won’t tell
Not gonna jynx it, heh
France > Russia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The others combined
@Bella
Frans also can’t sing for his life and THAT will show, too
I will say something it may be stupid but I will say it.all the good looking singers did extremele well eric , mans,rybak, sakis rouvas…they haf good songs but the appearence helpef them too.Frans Iis also very hot and he will not fail
Russia and France will only win with an outstanding staging. Come may time, they will have burned themselves with all the favoritism and attention focus.
I also think we’ll get shocked by some country this year. Sweden kinda opened this path last year.
BTW France is trying to fool Europe but it won’t…so unoriginal, recycled stuff from last year. We’ve moved to ’16.
That russian song)) /rollseyes
I just can’t get why is it so popular.
Everyone is like OMG Frans, but he’s not that fetch. Not sorry, but he will flop. By the way, I’m not from France, but Amir has the chance to steal the victory from Sergey Lazarev’s hands. Of course, I can’t forget this, I can’t imagine ESC 2017 in Russia. LGTB people deserve better, and I know this is about music, but here again, Russia loses.
Love, bitches.
I think it’s inevitable people might have flashbacks to 2011 when Amaury was the bookies fave. The thing is, Amaury had a dreadfully boring and non-radio friendly (in the bad way) song and looked uncomfortable on stage. Honestly i still have no idea why his song was #1 when 2011 had a lot of better, up-tempo and modern songs (none of which won!! smh). With Amir, people generally like his song. It’s so happy and charming and radio friendly, plus he also has great stage presence. He can easily win. I predict that it’ll be a close race kinda like… Read more »
My personal favorites are France, Australia, Italy and Spain. My guilty pleasure is Serbia
Why anyone would rate Russia is a total mystery to me. It’s a dreadful, dated, song that wouldn’t last 3 days on a radio station’s programming, let alone a personal play list.
There are some pretty good songs this year, ignore this dross.
My only comment concerning the Russian lead: seeing Sergey on top is like seeing the American soap opera debacle that is Donald Trump in the Presidential race. Disturbing and of bad taste. And like Whoopi Goldberg says every morning in The View to those who disagree with her, I also: #Idontcare.
Fingers crossed for Amir which also means fingers crossed for MUSIC and TALENT.
I hope Spain, Germany or Australia wins. Russia top 3 !granted! and Sweden may flop, you never know.
The best song for me is France .It’s the 2016 dark horse.
I think juries and peole will vote for him just because he will do a great performance on May 14th. it’s a potential winner and I hope so. because he deserves it.
Ogae poll is terrible as usual. Their members just have bad taste and no personality.
This year looks a bit unpredictible like 2014, rehearsals could change the whole game. And I don’t know how juries will vote..
Fingers crossed that something good and current will win.
@Bella I think juries will really like France if the performance is good. Sweden will be top 5 at least for sure or even a winner, and rightfully so.
I anticipate eurovision this year! Im so curious about the winner…I want Sweden again…But Russia and France are the big favorites…It is the first time that I cant predict the winner.Norway could be a surprise…But Sweden would be a bigger surprise if she wins two times in a row. If I were sorry is a strange song.I have a feeling that France will be in top 3 but the trophy will stay in Scandinavia…I do believe that France is stronger than Russia…For some reason I think that the juries will not support France as much as Sweden.
O.K. OGAE vote only for big countries :s Russia 1st. I expect better from ESC fans that have heard that type of song more than once.
Euphoria is the only stand out song from the last decade or we should look even before. It was easy to pick. This year no song is much better than the rest.
Expect a SURPRISE WINNER this year. Please people remember what people values when they pick their last winners. Look at the essence of their songs. So…
No Russia (just doesn’t come as sincere)
No France (copycat of Mäns, people’s going to pick something diff)
No Sweden (no power in his lyrics)
We are in for a big surprise this year.
6 France
Please add up my votes as well
ÖGAE Österrike
12 Poland
10 Netherland
8 Serbia
7 Bulgaria
6 Serbia
5 San Marino
4 Italy
3 Czech Republic
2 Azerbaijan
1 Belarus
just missing out: Spain, Denmark, Russia
Wow, Ireland my country are up there! In my opinion it’s a weak song though.
I am so thrilled to see Zoe up there, because I love her indefinitely. She is sooo good, I have downloaded all versions of Loin d’ici available already, I am such a sucker for this song and finally she gets some respect from fans. This is splendid. I am totally overjoyed, after I was already borderline depressed. Sure, it is our friendly neighbours Slovenia and Switzerland, but last year even their clubs gave us zero. And Belarussian points are anything but granted. Her song is escaptive, soothing, mesmerizing, it gives me tingles in my brain. It is so magnificent. If… Read more »
@Robyn: Yes but except for Dima Bilan and Running Scared (both very controversial winners), the winner of the ESC has always been in the OGAE top 5 (even if not in first place). So chances are quite high that the winner will be in this shortlist, even if not ranked #1.
@Robyn Gallagher
Good point.
Sorry :
“My number one for the moment”.
@Danish
Latvia was a surprise last year essentially thanks to the votes of juries and the live performance which was absolutely amazing (my favorite last year, I’m from France).
This year’s song is more “accessible” and will works better on televote than “love injected”. Number for the moment.
Little bonus : :large
This is only a poll by ESC Fan Clubs and Hardcore ESC Fans – you shouldn’t forget that we have a Jury also in ESC (Who goes with the best voice, best performance and most modern Song that could be very successful in the charts) and the people who will vote don’t vote in these polls or look at the Betting Odds. They may take a look at the Songs but in the end they will vote in the final and Semi-Final for the Song they like the most 🙂 So don’t worry if your favorite is low at the… Read more »
Wow, Ireland finally got OGAE points, cheers Slovenia! 🙂
But I don’t want Russia to win this as France is much better and better deserved.
Austria = 16 pts.
Croatia = 1 pt.
LOL.
I know it’s just 4 fanclubs so far, but the voting seems to be a lot more balanced compared to last year, opinions seem to be more divided. Last year I think less than 20 countries actually got votes.
I think Australia should get their own OGAE, they’re the mayority in ROTW anyway.
It is interesting that Croatia got 0 points from Slovenia. Wiwi experts should analyze it.
The only real purpose these OGAE polls serve is to highlight the laughably poor taste most (well, a large part of them, anyway) people in the ESC community have.
Russia might or might not win. Maybe they will end up in at least top 10 but not winning.
I’m usually globally in line with the OGAE poll, but here I see Russia and Austria in the top 5, two of the most dreadful songs of this year’s contest. I find Australia and Bulgaria more or less ok (though far from great), so we’re left with just France. I know it’s just the first 4 clubs, but the results usually don’t change much…
What is happening with this year’s contest?! It had been improving in quality since 2009, but now it’s like we’re back in the years 2000s. And that’s NOT a good thing.
