Latvia has Justs (badum tss!) revealed the music video for their Eurovision 2016 entry “Heartbeat“. And it’s totally sick!
Justs – “Heartbeat” music video
Justs sings his soul out while locked up in a cell — kinky! He tries to convince his captor, who could easily be Mia Wallace‘s sister, to let him out. Despite countless seductive glances, he can’t escape. His kidnapper just won’t let him go. So then he goes all Stig Rästa and breaks a couple of mirrors.
Our thoughts on Latvia’s entry
However, if we want to find resemblances with another video, look no further than Aminata’s “Love Injected“. Like his song’s composer, Justs is bringing red lights, gasoline and smoke. It’s raw, urban and fierce, what else can we ask for?
Justs in London
Latvia’s 2016 star exudes a natural energy. And of course, his trademark leather jacket adorns his back. Will we see any part of the video in the Stockholm stage? We’ll have to wait and see.
In fact, through all his performances, from Supernova to London Eurovision Part, the Latvian singer has stood alone on stage doing his thing. However, the video shows him moving much more than what we’re used to. May I remind you he told wiwiblogger Denise that his performance in Stockholm would have “some differences”…
Justs in Riga
Following ManuElla and Lidia Isac, Justs is unveiling his music video shortly before the rehearsals begin. Do you think this is a good idea to get the song under the spotlight? Or does “Heartbeat” shine on its own? And what do you think of the video? Would you have let him out? Tell us below!
