junior-eurovision-2016-opening-ceremony-manoel-theatre

With only 24 days left until the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Malta, organisers are finally unveiling all of their spectacular plans.

And today a delicious appetiser dropped, as TVM announced that the Manoel Theatre will host the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 junior extravaganza. We are definitely impressed.

Home of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the performing arts venue dates back to 1731 and it’s the third oldest working theatre in Europe, serving 18th century cultural heritage realness. Yassss.

Our JESC motto is simple — Let the children sing!

But before they do that they will get to walk down the red carpet that leads to the glorious theatre. As they work the red carpet (or will it be orange like in 2014?) in their mini Gucci and Alexander McQueen, Jr. looks, they’ll also field innocent questions about their song and country.

It’s enough to make you go awwww.

During last year’s opening ceremony we spoke with everyone — from Bella Paige to her mother Tanya — and Poli Genova even broke the news that she was in talks to sing for Bulgaria at Eurovision.

What surprises will drop this year? You’ll have to tune in to find out!

Are you excited about the venue for the Opening Ceremony? Do you think it fits with the Junior Eurovision theme? Let us know in the comments section below!
