Euroclub was the place to be last night, as the stars descended for the Eurovision 2017 opening ceremony. Singers, dancers, TV hosts and mentors from 42 delegations walked the red carpet under the glare of the world’s media and adoring fans. The entourages were all smiles and waves as they paraded by.
But this is Eurovision. It’s a contest, and even on the red carpet competition is fierce. Which stars were dressed to impress? And which ones were victims of a fashion car crash? We’ve collected photos of each of the acts, and y’all can rate them a “Hit” or a “Miss”. You can then vote in our poll to decide who worked the carpet best. Some people’s ENTM or ENTMM chances may depend on your verdict. Choose wisely.

Eurovision 2017 red carpet interviews
STAY TUNED TO WIWIBLOGGS FOR MORE ON THE SCENE REPORTS
Photos: Andres Putting (courtesy of EBU), wiwibloggs, artists’ delegations

Anja was the best by far. Wiwibloggs voters have zero taste.
Laura WORE the red carpet though she didnt let anyone walk on her.
Aleksander looked sooooo hot??
all beautiful people!
hot:greece
princess:romania
lovely: poland
cool: latvia
chic: france
can’t do wrong: italy, island, finland
fail: albania
worst: denmark
not good: germany
The best: Lucie, Robin, Ilinca&Alex, JOWST, Slavko, Jana, Blanche, Dihaj (love the look of all delegation!).
Alma was nice, but she can do better.
The worst: Lindita, Miruna, Anja, Martina, Tamara, Levina.
The rest were ok.
1. Demy (a True Queen on the red carpet)
2. Ilinca stunning in her high school prom dress
3. Alma, looking very hot again
4. Blanche, wow what a beautiful dress
5. Brendan, he looks so cute
Alma, Nathan, Jana, Brendan, Og3ne, Lucie, Jowst, Kasia – really lovely looks!
Few were over-the-top or ‘meh’, but I see that several of those with many minuses were (again) getting them on the expense of their songs, not fashion.
Definitely Belarus, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Azerbaijan, and Estonia.
Dihaj was cool, Lindita-I don’t know what the hell she was wearing. Belgium and Denmark need to hire a new stylist. Denmark’s gown very ill-fitting. Everyone else okay.
Let me resume you the red carpet:
– 41 competitores who looked bored as hell.
– Nathan Trent was showing energy and enthusiasm for all 42 delegations.
– Horrible red carpet hosts.
Winner of the red carpet: Nathan Trent.
Alma served beauty and class, while Dihaj served style and personality. Laura served all of this. My holy trinity.
Laura 🙂
I like Poland, Germany and Italy…. Dziekuje! Danke! Grazie!
I’m pleasantly surprised that people think that Brendan is the best dressed guy. I agree 🙂
SAME!
Red Carpet / Opening Ceremony type of events are pointless. Discuss. 😀
The Netherlands, France and Latvia
Lindita, Blanche and Kristian (without his hair style 😉
Guys, are juries on the jury night listening acts live,in stadium,or via satellite?
Via satellite in each of their respective countries. They watch a broadcast feed from the arena similar to what we will see in the semi final broadcast on Tuesday night so they see the performances with all the rehearsed camera angles and staging as well as having a crowd too.
Thank youu ^^
how old are the dutch ladies? in their 40ies?
Sigh.. 21 and 22 -__-
woah no way.
Best dressed men: Brendan Murray, Imri Ziv, Hovig
Best dressed women: Dihaj, Alma, Laura from Estonia
Honourable mention for Triana Park as best dressed collective.
Blanche was just like an angel <3
Imri, Kasia and Francesco looked gorgeous.
Poor Horse Luis having to walk down such a long red carpet with that thing on his head
I loved Dihaj. She is amazing haha. And the horse guy.. mmm.. 🙂
Voted for Dihaj, Alma, Lucie, Jana and Dutch girls.
Everyone looked amazing!
However, from the ladies, Alma looked so elegant once again! Loved it! Laura also was stunning! This red dress slays! I also liked Artsvik, Blanche, Tamara, OG3NE and Dihaj!
Now, from the boys, I think I have a personal preference to Francesco and Imri! They both looked amazing!! I also liked Nathan, Kristian, Hovig and Robin with his beautiful white suit!
From the groups I really loved Illinca and Alex as well as Triana park! Totally nailed it!
Svala, Dihaj, Triana Park, Jowst and O.Torvald are my favorites.. They showed us some avant-garde style, while the others were so kitch and just wore “the usual”.. Some of them looked nice, like Jana, Kasia and Laura, but not enough to get my vote.. Svala and Dihaj have my respect for being unique!
Best dress woman Serbia, best look man, duo from Norway
Worst dress woman Albania, worst man from Belarus duo
Most modern look on carpet Azerbaijan.
DiHaj and her sexy horse,lol
And I understood from the comments on Youtube that people do not understand that she was acting, most people take her talk with Deban seriously, lol. But she has a pure heart. She was different in other interviews and was in tears when she saw her daughter on the screen.
She was a dark queen with handsome dark horse and shared some sexy photos with her guy on facebook. I hope they will do some crazy staff on the stage for tomorrow.
THE BEST:
Blanche (BELGIUM)
Traina Park (LATVIA)
THE WORST:
Montenegro singer
Hungarian singer (sorry, I love Hungary as a country, but this guy’s style is terrible!)
I’m pretty sure that Joci Papai’s jacket has something to do with gipsy culture.
Lucie and Luísa! -> Summer style, love it.
O.TORVALD! -> Mmmh, I just love it.
Voted for Koit & Laura, they are gorgeous and friendly, not to mention that both are so good singers!
1. Lucie
2. Og3ne
3. Dihaj
4. Alma
5. Nathan <3
Kasia Mos
Dihaj definitely haha!!! She is so cool. Also Alma looked fabulous. 😀
Quick question – will there be any official on-line streaming for the semi-finals? Where can we watch them on-line?
There’s a live stream at eurovision.tv
Many local broadcasters provide a live stream as well.
And most probabily there will be a livestream on the ESC youtube channel.
Alma, Dihaj with her horse guy, Brendan and Nathan.
Poland the best 🙂
Belarus
Woman: Alma.
Man: All that went basic.
But we know who’s going to win this poll anyway…
The netherlands, france and dihaj
There’s only Alma (and preferably only with Måns, ha).
Koit and Laura for sure, that red dress was stunning!
Lindita.
Blanche <3
She really looked like a princess from a fairytale. 🙂
Either Bulgaria, France or Germany…
