It’s the most popular Swedish summertime singalong TV series. Live music show Allsång på Skansen is back for another year, and the newly announced 2017 lineup is full of Eurovision and Melodifestivalen stars, including Robin Bengtsson, Wiktoria, FO&O and Danny Saucedo.

The show will again be presented by Sanna Nielsen. The “Undo” singer made her Allsång hosting debut last year, and quickly won over viewers with her girl-next-door charm as well as her impressive vocal talent.

And she’ll be bringing a line-up full of Sweden’s finest. The show kicks off on 27 June with a performance from Sweden’s most recent Eurovision act, Robin Bengtsson. That episode will also feature Tomas Ledin, who represented Sweden at Eurovision 1980 with “Just nu!”

The show will also have a solid roster of former Swedish Eurovision stars, including Malena Ernman (ESC 2009), Jill Johnson (ESC 1998) and Svante Thuresson (ESC 1966).

Melodifestivalen is also represented. Melfest regulars Panetoz (Melfest 2014, 2016) and Wiktoria (Melfest 2016, 2017) will make an appearance. Melfest 2017 finalists FO&O — the boyband formerly known as The Fooo Conspiracy — will also performance. Darin (Melfest 2010, Eurovision interval act 2013) is part of the lineup, while two-time Melfest runner-up Danny Saucedo will appear on the last episode. Could this be a sign that Danny has his sights set on that elusive Melfest victory?

Outside the Eurovision and Melfest bubble, there’ll be plenty of performances from Swedish pop stars, including Miriam BryantSabina Ddumba and Icona Pop. And fans of ’80s pop will be glad to see Per Gessle, one half of Swedish power pop duo Roxette.

Allsång på Skansen debuts in two weeks’ time, on Tuesday 27 June. The show is broadcast weekly at 20:00 CET on SVT1.

I would only be here for Sainta Nielsus singing. But she would put all the others to shame, so I guess she’s better as a presenter this time.

For God’s sake, how many summer-time sing-along shows does Sweden have ?!

It’s very cold up there, so they enjoy the Summer as much as they can.

There actually is another one: “Lotta på Lisberg” (hosted by 1987 Boogaloo singer Lotta Engberg).

Actually, “Sommarkrysset” is not a sing-along-show. It’s just a show with artists on stage at Gröna-Lund (an amusement park in the city of Stockholm) that’s being broadcasted on TV. Mostly, the artist are the same as in “Lotta på Liseberg” and “Allsång på Skansen” though and mostly they sing the same songs (their latest hits) and sometimes the audience sing along with them. But an actual sing-along-show, it is not.

I think Sommarkryset is more of a lottery show with music. But, of course, everybody is allowed to sing along to whatever he/she wants. 🙂
