His solo appearance at Melodifestivalen earlier this year resulted in one of the biggest hits of the year. Following the success of “Every Single Day”, Felix Sandman has been busy recording songs for his new album. And today, he finally released a new single called “Imprint“.
After being praised for his emotional performance with debut single “Every Single Day” at Melodifestivalen, Felix Sandman has made a name for himself as a solo artist. The track reached the top of the charts, entered the global viral charts, and was certified platinum within four weeks after release. You don’t need to win the selection to get a big hit!
The young singer started his career in Scandinavia’s biggest boyband ‘FO&O’ but is now focusing on his solo debut as well as acting, as he is starring in Sweden’s first original Netflix series ‘Quicksand’. You’ll be seeing him around soon…
As he now prepares to finish his debut album, he’s been traveling back and forth to L.A working with renowned hitmakers such as OMEGA (Christina Augilera, Iggy Azalea), Erik Hassle (Shakira, Ellie Goulding) and Bram Inscore (Troye Sivan, Beck).
On July 20, his second single “Imprint” was released. The track is an uptempo song with a deeper message about heartbreak and longing. It also gives you a preview of the upcoming album scheduled for a fall release. Moreover, the record will be accompanied by a nationwide Swedish tour.
Felix Sandman – “Imprint” lyrics
Why’d you give me the keys to your heart?
We were young, felt like love, thought we knew it all
Closed our eyes, took a shot in the darkEh
I got scared and you noticed
Showed your cards but I folded
I blame me for you leaving
I blame me for you going
Now you’re living your new life
I’m still stuck in these highlights
Breaking downUsed to have it all
Threw it all away
Now you’re just an imprint on my pillowcase
Used to have it all
Lost it in the waves
Now there’s just an imprint where you used to lay
Now there’s just an imprint that you left on meTwenty two, now I miss all the little things
Like how you slept on my side of the bed
How you make me feel I could do anything
But now I’m drinking my courage insteadOh I fucked up bad and I know it
You was there at my lowest
I blame me for you leaving
I blame me for you going
Now you’re living your new life
I’m still stuck in these highlights
Breaking downUsed to have it all
Threw it all away
Now you’re just an imprint on my pillowcase
Used to have it all
Lost it in the waves
Now there’s just an imprint where you used to lay
Now there’s just an imprint that I can’t eraseMhm
Mhm
Mhm
NoUsed to have it all
Threw it all away
Now you’re just an imprint on my pillowcase
Used to have it all
Lost it in the waves
Now there’s just an imprint where you used to lay
Now there’s just an imprint that you left on me
What do you think of Felix Sandman’s new single? Can he repeat the success of “Every Single Day”? Tell us in the comments section below!
FO&O is not Scandinavia’s biggest boy band tho… Hov1 are outselling them by MILES.
Sounds like Shawn Mendes-wannabe
Even better than his Melfest entry.
This is the most awkward white person dancing since the Ninja PonPon
I love how everybody on wiwibloggs is just straight up fangirling about Felix and Benjamin xD Like, I don’t care, they’re cute either way. friends (and I really believe they’re just very close friends) are often cute aswell, but I guess shipping is just too much fun for many people.. ^^ PS: I LOVE Felix Sandman so much. I hope he’ll enter Melfest again in 2019.
I prefer his band mate’s Oscar’s debut single. “Heaven on my skin”.
Benji and Felix should be together: ))
Love them both!
Is there something going on there between Felix and Benjamin? :3
Nah, they are just taking advantage of the success from Melodifestivalen and people thinking they are in some kind of love relationship but they are actually just childhood friends therefore they have a strong bond i guess…
Well, I want them to be a couple xD
That’s why slash/fic was invented.
First i was thinking Drake (the dance i mean) but the song is quite catchy actually and at the same time sad. Hmm i kind of like it believe it or not!
It do sound like “Love yourself” by Justin Beiber though…
