tacos little big

Did your mother ever tell you not to play with your food? Well have her look away when you watch the latest Little Big music video. Russia’s Eurovision 2020 act has just released their new song “Tacos”, and they’re making Lady Gaga’s meat dress look like cheap canned ham.

Pasta wigs, penne shorts, pizza bikinis and tortilla-print dresses are some of the looks that band members serve in their new music video. Their “Uno” kung-fu dancer also makes an appearance, book-ending the video in his rather stylish kitchen.

The video starts with him microwaving a simple  slice of bread with cheese when Ilya, Sonya and the rest of the band appear dressed as ketchup and mustard pots. A culinary trip around the world then unfolds under the sticky beat of “Tacos”.

The troupe morph into a kebab-mummy, shrimp-mermaids and Pharaohs in front of a nacho pyramid. It’s a visual fantasy that will make you want to assault your fridge.

Little Big – Tacos lyrics

Ay-yay-yay, I like to eat

Heading for another record?

As usual with Little Big, “Tacos” has been an instant views success. The music video, which will probably go viral, was released early on Friday and by the afternoon was already approaching one million views.

The group’s videos routinely pass 100 million views, and just last month, “Uno” became the most-watched video ever on the Eurovision Youtube channel. As of August 14, it’s clocked 142 million views. Will “Tacos” surpass “Uno”? The appetite seems to be there.

Are you calling Uber eats as we type? How much did you like “Tacos”? Do you prefer it to “Uno”? Tell us in the comment section below

Watching this music video was like testing out how far I am willing to put myself through an ear-bleeding music number in order to see just how much weirder and more mesmerizing the visuals could get.

“Tacos” has debuted at #43 in the recently launched Russian Federation Spotify chart with around 16.9k streams on its first day.

Little Big joins LOBODA (with her single “Boom Boom” at #98 and 11.3k daily streams) as the two Eurovision acts currently in said Spotify chart.

They had a No 2 hit in the UK in 2003 with “The Fast Food Song”. Little Big’s effort prompted me to replay it and it sounds surprisingly similar.

My advice to Little Big would be to not make this a theme.
