The annual Eurovision prediction poll comes to a close today, and we finally have a result. The winner of the OGAE Poll 2021 is Malta’s Destiny with “Je Me Casse”. One of the favourites to win Eurovision, the Junior Eurovision 2015 champion picked up a massive 363 points across 43 voting clubs.
In second place is Switzerland’s Gjon’s Tears. An early poll leader, the “Tout l’univers” singer missed out on victory by just six points. In total, Switzerland received 358 points to secure the silver medal. Also on the podium is France’s Barbara Pravi. “Voilà” received an impressive 318 points.
Last year’s OGAE Poll champions — The Roop from Lithuania — placed fourth overall with 301 points. Rounding out the top five is Cyprus’ Elena Tsagrinou, who picked up 238 points.
Malta wins the OGAE Poll 2021
The OGAE Poll 2021 took on a new format this year. The first 21 fan clubs delivered their points one by one daily. Then, the remaining 22 clubs announced the points altogether at once on Friday 7 May in a grand video.
In the end, it was an extremely close battle between Malta and Switzerland. The final result was dependent on the votes from OGAE Lithuania. They awarded seven points to Destiny, which was enough to extend her lead beyond the rest of the competition.
At the other end of the leaderboard, ten countries were left on zero points. Albania, Austria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and The Netherlands received no points from any voting clubs.

What do you think? Where did your favourite finish? Let us know in the comments below!
Jendrik’s first zero of the season and probably not his last.
0 points for Benny Cristo is a real bummer, though. I really see him qualifying.
The first JESC winner to win the big one? She’s already in a good spot, stealing the OGAE title from Gjon in the final week.
Think back in 2016 France scored over 400 point’s and placed at number 1 on ogae scoreboard while Ukraine got 88 points and placed 9th position but what happened in May in real world….ukrain won and france didn’t even get to top 5 kicked out…ypu remmember that don’t you..so don’t be fooled by ogae unreal vote the result will be different for sure
Loreen, Netta and Duncan are reading your comment wondering what you’re talking about.
Of course the country winning the OGAE voting doesn’t indicate that it’s gonna win the real ESC. Get that out of your mind and spread my comment to all the users here thinking like you. OGAE is strictly a fan vote, that’s all. They never claimed that they were predicting the future winner of ESC.
This ain’t that kind of year. I wouldn’t be surprised if one won the jury vote and the other won the public vote, and less than 10 points separate the two. [I’m looking at Gjon and Destiny in this matter, and I don’t think either will finish worse than 5th.] If they romp on one card, they’d better score very well on the other, or whoever finishes 2nd and/or 3rd on both cards might steal it. [France? Lithuania? Iceland?]
Malta winning the public vote would be something, given their abysmal track record in that voting throughtout the years…
Yay let’s just vote based on the betting odds woop… how original of them!
We vote based on the song and performance, you vote following betting odds, how sad
I like Malta and would be good for them as it’d be there first win but I’d love a surprise winner this year, my personal favourites are Iceland and Ireland, personal I don’t like Switzerland or Cyprus that much but that’s just my taste in music
You have to have a mix of televote and jury voters or preferably win both the jury and televote and this song does this perfectly. It has jury appeal and even televoters will get behind this. I think people are having a hard time seeing this on stage. I think on Sunday we will get a taste of why this is ranked at the top of the betting odds. A song doesn’t necessarily need to unique to win. Maybe Malta have played a little bit safe, but what’s the problem with that? I’d be happy if they win. I won’t… Read more »
for her sake, i hope she ends up following in Netta’s footsteps and not in Amir or Francesco…or worse Kati or Charlotte…because OGAE have a spotty record
I really hope these aren’t the final results in two weeks time.
But what does Tobias think????!! ?
turns out australia and UK got some points in the end
Out of the technicolour embers.
You guys really need to stop being so bitter. I see people saying that songs are “overrated” or that “that song is horrible and doesn’t deserve to win”. Do you guys know that just because you personally like a song it doesn’t make it objectively good? You really need to stop believing that what like is quality and remember that art is SUBJECTIVE.
Amen! We should be supporting all the artists who share their souls and hard work! Amen!!!
Exactly! I dislike a number of songs.. many of which are in the top 10, but I will never say they are overhyped. They’re just not my taste.
Not everyone likes rock songs but both Finland and Italy are in top 10 (almost). Some would say they are overrated when truth is there are enough people who like rock songs which may place them that high.
The most intelligent and positive comment I ever read on the site. Well done. If only all of the comments reflect your line of thought it would be nice skimming down the comments. But lately with all the hate that is being posted towards countries that are being touted to win just because they have other favourite countries is making me just skip the comments section of each posted article.
What importance does this actually have? Most of the fans are not members of OGAE clubs, so this isn’t really useful as a prediction. I think the My Eurovision Scoreboard App community top is way more useful than that. I believe that it combines around 100 000 fans’ tops.
If any of the fans countries win the ogae and jury polls they would say that such polls reflect the outcome of what might happen on grand final night, so why is there so much bitterness because the island of Malta has won these polls?
Ok I don’t want Malta to win, but even Switzerland lacks something.
Bulgaria, Sweden, Cyprus and Italy are my favourites.
ok but Czech Republic — 0 points
HELL NO!
It’s a laugh, really!
If your country won, you might have a different comment.
Italy will be definitely higher! Who’s with me??
Of course. Top 5 at least.
Lithuania has the most 12 point scores and yet it doesn’t make it into the top three? I guess it’s a little polarizing.
I want to believe this is just a dream, because Malta’s song is so overrated..
No offence but who is actually televoting for Malta this year? She might do well, but this artificial hype and Ogae buying into it is the nail in Je Me Casse’s coffin. You can buy fake views and pop up ads on facebook/twitter you can even buy fake sim cards and try gain points via that method, but the general public of ex Soviet nations, Balkans etc… they are NOT picking up to vote for Malta when better and more relatable songs are in this years Eurovision.
Will the national juries be influenced by the hype/odds?
Sure! A few days ago I saw sponsored Malta
s ESC song advert in MY FB acount! And even if I was quite positive about Destiny, now it
s a big NO for Malta from me!!! You can`t buy Love, Honey!Oh they do that every year, Instagram, YouTube, FB. In 2019 I got the Chameleon video clip (from the official Eurovision channel) as an ad before every video in YouTube.
Do you have screenshots of those ads ? I would like to see them
Prove it please
Do you have a screenshot of that ad ? It’s surprising to me to receive anything of that kind on my FB profile while I’m subscribed to Destiny’s FB page and the official ESC one. Why am I not one of those people targeted on FB considering I’ve shown interest about Destiny posts ? That’s weird
Who screenshot random FB ads? I was surprised, cos ussualy I saw cheap Made in China fashion ads. And then – Voila – MALTA ESC song!
Actually, a few people here were stating that they were receiving a lot of ads about Je Me Casse mv so… I assumed you were one of them and I just wanted to know if you could do a screenshot of an ad about Malta and share it here. Cause I don’t receive those type of ads in my social media accounts. Whether its Malta or Greece or any American star mv, I don’t receive ads of that kind. And I want to know how they look like.
I also get Destinys advertising on my Facebook feed with #voteMalta slogan.
Can you prove what you said?
Stop spreading false rumors. Fake sim cards? Are you kidding me? You need to buy a hella lot of sim cards in 30 countries. You must be delusional to think that may happen!! I really hope people won’t bring this up as an excuse if she wins just because Malta is at the top of the betting odds. This was never said when previous countries charted the betting odds. I’ve seen ads by Greece on my YT page as well and there’s nothing wrong with that I if I recall, Malta ended up twice in 2nd place and even in… Read more »
Congratulations to Malta! I hope the results can be similar in the real contest.
Malta, Switzerland, France, Lithuania, Cyprus. That’s not a bad top five grouping. Yes, San Marino got pipped out by one point, but sixth place would be extraordinary for them if everything goes well. I’m perfectly fine with Lithuania reaching fourth place because it’s still very high for them and it could give Lithuania Artists somewhere to go for future contests.
After three months I still don’t understand the hype around Malta?
Destiny is very good but her 2020 song was so much better than this year !!!
We have four or five songs of this type every year and it ends up top 15 maximum …
I’m agreed, she is great, but song is not a winning song! There are more deserving this year. I just hope that Eurovision will stop to be so predictable.
Guys I was waiting for this moment since 2 years, but now I can say that the first rehearsals begin in 10 hours and I’m so happy and excited you can’t imagine!!! I’ve even hard time to believe it but here it is, it’s eurovision time! The best moment of the year! Enjoy guys.
YESYESYES! I’m obsessed with the rehearsals! I wish I was there :(((
My heart is really with Malta, who loves ESC so much. But I have a hard time seeing this will win. It’s between Switzerland, France and Lithuania, maybe with my bets on the latter which is not a ballad. Sorry Malta!
Lithuania has no chance of winning, such a gimmick entry could only win if we had 2006 still.
Lol your cringe Malta Toy2 got no chance
It’s going to be Lithuania since it’s the only country that will constantly get 7 or 8 points from the televoters in Western and Eastern Europe.
Switzerland and France are both aiming for the same target group and won’t do too well in the East.
Malta simply isn’t a winning entry.
It will be between Malta, France and Italy.
Damn. I just realized that Malta won over Switzerland with a small margin of 5 points. That was really close. The competition will be tough in 2 weeks…. And I’m here for that
Ogae Switzerland gave 12 to Malta
Ogae Malta gave 6 to Switzerland
There you go xd
Matter of taste or strategy. We can’t really know it. It could also be a mix of both. But we can’t say OGAE Malta voted unfairly, they’ve given their 8 points to France, the closest and toughest competition of the island.
Actually, I hope those 3 countries juries won’t avoid to vote for each other like it was the case in 2017 with Italy, Portugal and Bulgaria. That was so unfair.
Ogae has nothing to do with the real contest.
I’m completely aware of this — if you haven’t read the numerous comments I’ve posted about it on OGAE-related articles. I’m just saying that in almost every polls and odds, the same countries and especially Malta, France, Switzerland, Lithuania, Cyprus and San Marino are most of the time praised by eurofans. That’s what is also happening with the OGAE contest. It shows that it’s gonna be really tough for a song to win this year, and that’s what is exciting. Everything can change until the first rehearsals.
Wow, Ukraine is surprisingly high and Bulgaria surprisingly low! If they swapped places it would be so much more predictable, so I give them that.
I don’t even have to comment anything about the winner. 1. It’s OGAE, they always come out wrong so mayyyyybe Malta isn’t going to win after all. 2. The results were extremely tight. Congrats to OGAE Russia and Italy tho
Oh, and, one last thing: F in chat for Albania, Austria, Czechia, Georgia, Germany, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal and Slovenia (but mainly Albania and Czechia, they clearly deserved more than null)
But where is the full OGAE score from 1 to 12 from many countries, I haven’t seen it nowhere
Go on the site ogaeinternational.org and you will find it I think.
Thanks
question: why is malta not appreciated as much as before? it grew off me a little but its still in my top 4
It never was appreciated by those who disliked the song, it was just all the hype that the fans had been building around it, since it was released super late
France has to win this year! Malta and Switzerland are not winning material imo!
Even San Marino would be a good winner, but being a microstate, that’s v. unlikely to happen in modern day Eurovision
neither is france imo
Mr jo. and his (useless) venom are back! HELL NO!
as OGAE totally failed to spot Conchita, Jamala and Salvador…. How much credence do we grant this as a predictor?? Or just accept it on its own terms??? A fan vote…that’s all.
But it is a fan vote. OGAE never claimed to take their results seriously as if they were indicators of who will win
Conchita got 5th on OGAE vote so it wasn’t that far of. And Jamala no one could have predicted..
The good news is that OGAE has something like only 40% of the real Eurovision winner.
Correction it’s more like 35% , bye bye MAlta lmao
Malta would be the worst winner since Azerbaijan.
Interesting view…I think you’re right…if she wins.
I agree
I love how many people are always taking Azerbaijan 2011 as the exemple of the worst Eurovision-winning country. Not gonna go against them, I agree 100% with em. That same comment was used for Jamala, Salvador and Netta. So it’s a comment totally usual to expet to read every year.
Folks you think Bulgaria could flop?
hope Victoria will do better than this poll
glad Ukraine in top 10, that’s what they deserve 🙂
tbh I don’t see Bulgaria in the final
it would be shock NQ for sure
You’re delusional
I’ve said this before, but I am very scared of San Marino’s 58 fake points this year.
I should really call them the EBU’s 58 fake points. San Marino has nothing to do with them, I don’t know why they need to exist.
dont forget that flo rida has a high chance of attracting casual televoters like mosquitoes to light
Flo Rida will NOT be on ESC stage bb!
I don’t like that song either
Never been that proud to be Bulgarian! 😀 Italy’s my winner too. I hope we’ll give them 12 points in the real show too.
idk were you expecting them to get any points? lmao
i appreciated the point where russia said NIET to switzerland’s song and gave them nothing
Yes, that makes me happy a little bit (to be honest) and I think Russia will get an extra vote from me this year.
Why, tough?
my beautiful Russia
And czech entry and albania too. These countires are so UNDERRATED.Hope all three get good results.
France or Switzerland for the win in ESC
No, France or Italy for the win.
Had there been an Ogae Malta, Swizerland would probably have won…cause Swizerland gave its 12 points to Malta but couldnt receive any point from Malta…
OGAE Malta gave 6 points to Switzerland actually.

Ah ok thank you!
You’re welcome Florence
Both Malta and France are overrated in my opinion.
Let me guess…. Switzerland is your winner isn’t he?
Hahaha….it looks like !
😉
I think Switzerland aka Arcade 2.0 is overrated
boring cut and paste comment
This!
WHAT MALTA OVERTOOK SWITZERLAND
That does mean Malta has been constant in these last votes. That also means that it wasn’t the case of Switzerland. The country may have received low scores or no points. That would explain Malta overtaking Switzerland.
Last minute paychecks.
Doris you seem to enjoy conspiracy theories. But as people laugh at and disbelieve conspiracies so also they laugh at you. Take your hate somewhere else.
Thx for the details! It’s also interesting to note that 4 out of 10 full points to Lithuania are coming from a double group of eurofans in Germany, the OGAE branch Rest of the World and 1 country that doesn’t compete anymore at ESC: Luxemburg. Switzerland also received points from branches of 2 countries that aren’t participating at Eurovision this year: Armenia and Hungary. And France received twice its top points from OGAE branches whose countries also don’t compete anymore at ESC: Andorra and Turkey. Really surprised to see Turkish eurofans voting that way btw. There are tensions between both… Read more »
Gurl eurovision is about music and ogae Turkey has proven that strongly and it’s very cool. And even if Turkey don’t participate, the turkish diaspora all over Europe which is huge vote a lot in esc, so their votes can’t be delegitimized.
I’m not delegitimizing their votes, actually. Not in any way. It’s just surprising to me. Considering the tensions between France and Turkey about the freedom of expression in the press, Charlie Hebdo caricatures and the muslim religion, I didn’t expect Turkey fans to vote for France. French products are currently boycotted in Turkey, so I thought it would be the same with the French song. But I was totally wrong to think that way, and I’m glad that indeed, music is putting first among the Turkish eurofans. That’s all. I wasn’t explicit enough with my previous comment.
Yeah that’s cool, it’s the power of Eurovision to bring people together whatever the countries or the tensions. The music and the feelings a song can give has no borders and it’s beautiful to see that.
You get my point then 😉
I wasn’t critizing Tukish 12 points to France. I was just expressing my surprise.
No problem Ellen and stay strong it’s not easy to see all this comments about Malta here, it’s not deserved, but you know it doesn’t reflect the reality, so don’t be afraid and enjoy your Eurovision gurl!
Oh thank you. That’s so sweet. I wish the same to you. Enjoy your Eurovision 🙂
Actually, I’m not bothered anymore by comments about Malta. I’m glad cause it’s the usual treatment every favourite song is receiving each year. So that means Malta has a song that won’t leave anyone feeling indifferent to it. And that’s a good sign.
Exactly 🙂
….yes for mata hari….
Mainly probably 🙂
Sad San Marino didn’t break into the top 5 in the end.
But sixth place is still very high for a country that has only qualified twice. I want to see the positive side of things.
So happy for Lithuania 🙂
I want to ask you all a question!
Do you think tomorrow we will have a preview of Australian Live on Tape performance?
Good question…. I don’t even know why Australia has 30 min of rehearsals….
I mean, they could have used those minutes to get Cyprus rehearsing one day earlier instead of having 6 countries on Day 1 and 9 countries on Day 2. I will never understand EBU
Choices….
Yeah I see your point but you do understand flight schedules right? They were fixed long before the running order was announced and Cyprus although was made to perform in the first half will not be arriving to Rotterdam before Saturday afternoon
Fact: Switzerland and Cyprus finished 2nd and 5th respectively both in the 2019 and the 2021 poll.
Also Greece finished 8th in 2018 and 10th in 2019 so I’m hoping for something better this year that Stefania finished 11th. Fingers crossed.
Destiny will win this year
That’s a top 5 I can get behind 🙂
Happy for Lithuania. This year could bring their best result ever.
they’d be deserving of victory even
I’m fine with their fourth place position because it’s within My prediction range of 3rd-5th place for Lithuania to get their highest result without winning.
Likes: if you want Malta to win
Dislikes: if you want Switzerland to win
Comments: if you want France to win
I want Lithuania to win!
I’ll be happy with either Switzerland or Malta. I just don’t want Sweden (Malta) to win again… I fear many countries would start bringing Swedish unispired and calculated songs and that would be terribile
You would be happy for Malta but you don’t want them to win?! I don’t get it
I meant France, sorry
Ok now I get it 😉
Psss…I can tell you 100% that the Gr jury in the grand final is going to give Fra 12 points…or 10 if they do the mistake to give 12 to diablo…I estimate 6-12 from Gr televoters. So in total from 24 to 16 points.
!!! really!? It would be sooooooo cool!!
Psss…. 😉 I’m looking forward to see Greece’s staging, I’m beyond curious about it.
Baby I’m “almost” 100% sure for this. I’m curious too…nobody tell us something about, only false rumors.
Answer this monday! I can’t wait mon chéri 😉
I meant I would be hapoy with Switzerland or France, so comment or dislike equally good for me
I choose two winners then out of this 3. 🙂
Lithuania or France are my Top 2 this year. But still not sure about the Bronze.
Comment of course
