France, the silver medalist of Eurovision 2021, has left the fandom with bated breath at exactly how they plan to select their next entry. After teasing the return of their national final Eurovision France: C’est vous qui décidez, we finally have confirmation of the reveal date!

The French Head of Delegation, Alexandra Redde-Amiel, has confirmed on Twitter that the twelve entries competing to earn the right to succeed Barbara Pravi and represent the Big 5 country in Turin will be revealed on February 16.

Stéphane Bern and Laurence Boccolini will host the selection for the second year in a row. The location and the exact air date of the selection are yet to be revealed. For now, fans are speculating it’ll take place in early March at the latest.

Eurovision France 2022: C’est vous qui décidez!

France Télévisions introduced C’est vous qui décidez! as a new national final format to select their act for Eurovision 2021. Fans and critics praised the new format, and HoD Alexandra celebrated its success in taking France back to the top of the scoreboard. She later confirmed the show would return in 2022 to select France’s act for Italy, albeit with a possibly different format, even going as far to say it could be “completely changed” from the 2021 edition. The exact format of C’est vous qui décidez! 2022 is yet to be announced.

The French broadcaster declared submissions for C’est vous qui décidez! 2022 open on 21 June 2021. The rules stipulate that, among other things, all performers must be at least 16 years old, and that the songs and compositions entered must be mainly in French and/or regional languages. This includes tongues spoken in overseas French territories, including Reunionese, Corsican, Breton and Futunan.

I can’t wait to discover the songs in competition!

And like every year I will hope to see Cécile Corbel and Black Rain in the list of contenders. This year I will also add Wery.

And Aliose if Switzerland has not already offered it to them.

And congratulations to our Barbara Pravi, who won a “Victoire de la musique” last night!

Dreaming is free, but I’d love to see Jean Michel Jarre, Yann Tiersen or Woodkid representing France in Eurovision. Specially Woodkid has amazing shows and his music is so deep

Julie Zenatti could really be one of the contestants (based of the accounts she follows on instagram + her concerts), Juliette Armanet too.
My “wishlist”: La Zarra, Tayc, Dadju (and Soolking), Hatik, Louane (but she won’t bc she’ll have a concert on the 14th of May), Kendji Girac, Christine and the queens, Yseult, Grand Corps Malade or just THE French singer of 2021 (+ with him another singer), Orelsan (+ another singer)…

Julie Zenatti, I don’t think that will ever happen. In the past, three times the delegation asked her if she would be interested to be the french contestant at Eurovision, and three times she refused.

I think Kendji once said in an interview that he would be interested, though. In your list, it’s Grand corps Malade that I would prefer.

My wishlist: Emmy Liyana, Maelle, Suzane, La Zarra, Soa, Nassi, Terence, Andriamad, Julia Lissandro, MB14, Amalya, Carla, Angelina, Igit. Big established artists I d’love too but impossible, Alizée, Kendji, Indila, Clara Luciani, Hoshi, Guetta, Kungz, Christine & the Queens, Amel Bent. I d’love songs written and produced by, Zazie, Igit, Barbara, Nassi, Guetta, Bob Sinclar. I dream big I know, but it’s just for the fun, I know it won’t happen. The date of the show could be March 5th, 11th, or 12th ( just hope for it not to be 12th, a too busy night already) or maybe if… Read more »

UPDATE GERMANY: 6 songs are in the national live show ….4 boring songs, 1 song in german and 1 really good song (Malik Harris). No Eskimo Callboy (my heart is bleeding right now). They could have selected internally Malik Harris “Rockstars” a 8/10 song.

4 of them are almost unlistenable, Rockstars is the only which has potential to be in the top 20

Agree, I’ve watched a concert of malik harris and he usually performes with a loop and has amazing vocals. If Germany select him they probably will be around 10-16
