Mari Bølla, TrollfesT, Maria Mohn and Kim Wigaard all had a last chance to make it to the grand final of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2022. But only one could emerge victorious in the so-called Sistesjansen. And that singer is Maria Mohn with the song “Fly”.

Norway’s last chance round was split into two phases.

The first phase saw replays of the 12 eliminated acts from the semi-finals. Voters called in for their favourites and the top four qualified for tonight’s showdown.

All four artists performed their song again live. A public vote determined that Maria Mohn and TrollfesT would reprise their songs in the gold duel. Ultimately Maria won over more of the public than the dancing flamingos.

Melodi Grand Prix 2022 line-up for the grand final

  • Elsie Bay “Death of Us”
  • Christian Ingebrigtsen “Wonder of the World”
  • NorthKid “Someone”
  • Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf a Banana”
  • Anna-Lisa Kumoji “Queen Bees”

  • Maria Mohn “Fly”

Pre-qualified artist Anna-Lisa Kumoji

Anna-Lisa Kumoji, who is pre-qualified for the final, also performed her song “Queen Bees” for the first time. Here’s Anna-Lisa’s official bio, as supplied by NRK.

Anna-Lisa Kumoji (31) from Asker / Drammen outside Oslo is educated at the Bårdar Academy and has many years of experience as a professional singer, actress, dubber and musical artist. Among other things, she’s had roles in “The Book of Mormon”, “Flashdance” and now lately she played the role of Anita in “West Side Story”. She has done several film and TV roles as well and is the voice in a number of films. In 2019, she became a finalist in “All Together Now” on TVNorge, and not least she became a gold finalist in the Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Holla” the same year. Last year, Anna-Lisa was seen in Stjernekamp and aroused great enthusiasm among the reviewers. Now she is ready for the MGP stage again, the same stage that gave her the big breakthrough as a solo artist in 2019.

Are you happy with the final line-up? Did the right acts go through? And what do you think of Anna-Lisa’s performance? Let us know in the comments box below!

She wasn’t my choice, but good for her nonetheless. 🙂

Pretty pleased with Anna-Lisa Kumoji’s performance. Camptastic glam in all the right ways.
