Ever since the unfortunate cancellation of Eurovision 2020, song contest organisers have required broadcasters to film backup performances in case an act can’t make it to the stage in May. Now, the EBU is releasing almost all of the Live On Tape recordings for Turin 2022.

The recordings are being released on the official Eurovision channel across a period of 10 days. The publication schedule appears to be following the semi-final running orders. Today, Wednesday 15 June, we’re getting three more songs from semi-final one — Switzerland’s Marius Bear, Slovenia’s LPS and Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project. Ukraine’s Eurovision-winning Kalush Orchestra have been skipped over. That’s because they were granted an exemption from recording a Live On Tape.

The remaining acts will follow over the coming days. Eurovision.tv states that a small number of delegations have opted not to release their backup performance, but doesn’t specify which ones. However, the Netherlands has already confirmed that S10’s Live On Tape will remain locked in the vaults.

Eurovision 2022 Live On Tape Performances

Switzerland’s Marius Bear – “Boys Do Cry”

Slovenia’s LPS – “Disko”

Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project – “Intention”

Slovenia look like they are a school prom band who haven’t rehearsed enough. Sorry, nice lads, but the song sucks.

Weird that the Netherlands won’t release theirs. S10 was so good in Turin. Maybe she found it too emotional?

Not if the performances in Turin were anything to go by. Both were excellent with plenty of emotion.
