Ahead of Benidorm Fest semi-final 2, we asked our readers to vote for the acts they want to see qualify. And now, the results are in.

Karmento can make a strong difference and bring to the spotlight one of the most forgotten traditional styles from Spain (of course this time from a modern perspective): that of rural Castille, which is now almost unknown to young people (not to mention internationally) after being overshadowed for decades by others such as flamenco, Galician celtic (such as last year’s Terra), and other genres. It brings memories of the traditional songs full of wisdom sung by elderly people and playing with language (double meanings, metaphors, images, etc.). Those small villages are being abandoned, and a victory of this song at… Read more »
Yikes really? Not so much her winning the poll but my favourites are 3rd, 4th and 9th. Hopefully theyll deliver good performances.
Yeah this is obviously not true, she is 14th on the ESC scoreboard app and at the bottom or the Eurovisionworld.com poll… yall are manipulating this poll and thats okay, she will flop tonight 🙂
Okay she came 2nd in televote
Karmento is great and her voice is amazing !
It’s my qualified for tonight with Blanca Paloma, José Otero & Vicco !!!
Kind of a surprise pick, but a good one!
Reharsals are now taking place. Famous, Jose Otero and Karmento already did it and for the journalists there, Karmento has been the best so far, with the best staging seen so far this year.
Apparently Famous has been great though. And Jose Otero perfect vocally. I am telling you, we have the most difficult semifinal today.
And, apparently, Blanca Paloma has been brutal! OMG, I am so much looking forward for this evening!
The wiwi readers are surprising sometimes, but why not Karmento is great and sooooo talented.
My fav in this semi are Famous and E’Femme, and I like Vicco. Blanca could do it too, I prefer her entry of last year but as for Karmento she is so talented and impressive on stage so why not.
Sorry, but for me is E´Femme the worst one in this Semi….
The four best songs of this semifinal are really listed. But I prefer them in a different order. My favourite is José Otero, followed by Blanca Paloma
Mucha suerte a todos/as los/as participantes ! Me gusta mucho ver Benidorm Festival.
What? Who even listens to it
Everyone?
I listen to it
I know I should give a try to Benidorm Fest but I don’t know… Maybe next year !
Ok, this seems a bit harsh but “slomo” turned me so down last year… Oh well, this is a matter of taste after all.
I expect her to do well: she’s got a great voice and she will deliver live. And Javier Pageo is in charge of her staging and he is very good (he was in charge of Rayden’s last year).
Anyway, I think this semifinal is even tougher than the first one, as I don’t expect nobody to flop live: Famous, Alfred, José Otero, Karmento and Vicco, all of them are great live and there is no way vocals are not going to be good.
You forget Blanca Paloma
True! Sorry, then it is even harder, lol
I’m rooting she can get like a surprise 2nd place tonight and keep in contention to win next Saturday.
There are three acts I would like to see in the final: Alfred, Karmento and Vicco. I don’t really have a 4th favourite but the only song I don’t like in semi 2 is E’FEMME with Uff! I find it quite annoying.
She’s my favorite since the beginning. Some people underestimates the potential of slower and intimate songs like Quiero y duelo. I would be very surprised not seeing Karmento in the final on Saturday.
I really like it too, it could do really well at esc
Wait, what? Why is SHE 1st in this poll? I sense manipulation!
idk maybe because me and so many other people listen to it and love it? Blue you can choose multiple in the poll
*plus
Blanca Paloma only being 3rd is criminal!!
She is an amazing live performer and the one I believe can overthrow Agoney from this semi.
Like I said earlier, she should sail through to the final on the song alone. Plus, artists like her never have a bad day vocally. or if they do, they’re still better than most. The question is not, if she will advance to the final, but what she will be able to achieve there. I’d be totally down for her going to LIverpool.
whoa i’m surprised she’s the readers’ favorite, she’s my number one as well and i wasn’t expecting all this fan love! it’s a classy and classic song telling a story in the most emotional and intimate way, without anything superfluous added to it. i just adore it.
