Although we’re officially into the Eurovision 2025 season, it will still be some time before we hear any national final and Eurovision songs. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2024 | Week 44
Kaleen – “It Feels So Good”
This week’s round-up kicks off with a banger. Kaleen, who represented Austria in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, has finally released a highly anticipated follow-up song that fans have been buzzing about since her live shows. With this track, Kaleen aims to cement her status as a pop queen. It’s a love song that captures the thrill of romance, with lyrics like, “Your love, it feels so good / And that’s what takes me high,” celebrating the joy of being in love. The song blends electronic pop elements seamlessly and is accompanied by a lyric video. Kaleen has hinted that this release marks the beginning of an exciting new era.
Käärijä – People’s Champion
Beloved Finnish artist Käärijä, who proudly represented Finland in last year’s Eurovision, is back with a long-awaited album. The 12-track album, entirely in Finnish, delves into the electronicore and dance-pop genres that fans have come to love through his music. With a title that nods to his status as the public’s favourite at Eurovision, the album includes his Eurovision hit “Cha Cha Cha” and other fan-favourite songs like “Sex=Money.”
The album features two collaborations: the first is “Ruoska” (“Whip”) with Erika Vikman, a well-known name among fans of UMK (Finland’s national selection), and the second is “It’s Crazy, It’s Party” with Tommy Cash, inspired by Käärijä’s iconic quote during Eurovision interviews, especially with our own Dayana after his UMK victory.
In addition to the album, Käärijä has released a music video for the song “Autiomaa” (“Desert”), showcasing a shift in his style. This deeper, more serious track reveals a different side of Käärijä, setting aside his signature humour to explore a more introspective sound.
Rosa Linn & Vianney – “Where do I go”
Rosa Linn became a worldwide star after competing in Eurovision 2022 for Armenia. Her newest release is a collaboration with Vianney, a song they composed together in Paris shortly after they met and became friends. The track features a lovely acoustic pop sound, with lyrics that express the confusion of navigating life after parting from a loved one while hoping to reunite soon: “I’m sorry, what about you? / Do you wish you were with me right now? / Do you miss me like I do?”
MÉLOVIN & SWOIIA – “Зодіак”
MÉLOVIN, who represented Ukraine at Eurovision in 2018, returns this week with a moving collaboration on a ballad titled “Zodiac,” alongside SWOIIA. The song is accompanied by an artistic music video, with lyrics that explore the longing to revisit the past and the struggle to find peace with what can no longer be changed. The lyrics reflect on love’s misfortunes, playfully attributing them to the zodiac: “Just say hello, how are you? / Perhaps the zodiac is the only one to blame for everything, / But time will not forgive us for delays, / And will remove our happiness without hesitation.”
About the song and its meaning, MÉLOVIN stated:
“Each of us at least once in our lives wanted to return an episode of life from the past. To be with him or her. Many tears at night and rejections, until understanding the situation, until sobriety come. But everything happens as it should… So, before fighting for a relationship, think carefully about whether this struggle is necessary for anyone but you.”
Efendi – “Tək-Tək”
Efendi was initially selected to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision in 2021 (after the 2020 contest was cancelled). This week, Efendi enchants us with a disco-pop track titled “One by One,” featuring strong retro influences. The accompanying music video showcases some of her best looks while she sings about feeling fantastic and being able to afford everything she desires. But ultimately, she only wants love from her partner: “I don’t expect anything / Gifts don’t make me happy / Words are beautiful, but / They don’t convince me / If you’re sincere, that’s enough.” With confidence, the star expresses that she is perfectly fine being single for now because she won’t settle for anything less than true love.
S10 – “Mijn Haren Ruiken Naar Vuur”
S10 represented the Netherlands in 2022. Her newest song is a retro pop tune titled “My Hair Smells Like Fire,” which is also the name of her upcoming album set to be released next March. Until then, fans can enjoy the title track. The lyrics explore the courage to be yourself, as well as the feeling of being completely lost in a world that makes you feel small: “But I know it can be different / Look at me, I’m just as scared / I’m really not made of steel or anything.”
Michael Schulte – “Broken Sunshine”
Michael represented Germany in 2018. Recently, he has been dominating radio stations worldwide with his music, and his latest release is a fantastic pop track that again has significant radio potential. With Michael’s warm voice and a simple yet evocative music video, the song captures your heart from the very first listen. Its lyrics address going through tough times while always managing to see the light at the end of the tunnel, emphasising the power within us to create change: “I’ll take my broken sunshine, I’ll be alright / Let it shine in my eyes, I’m okay / I’ll take my broken sunshine, fill those dark skies / Tryna steal my light, but not today.” This song is the confidence booster you need in your playlist.
AISEL – “Dənizin Dibində”
AISEL represented Azerbaijan in 2018. Her song released this week is a deeply emotional ballad about feeling left behind and alone, as if you are “At the Bottom of the Sea.” AISEL’s voice perfectly embraces the ballad, conveying the song’s message with heartfelt emotion. The lyrics express profound sorrow: “My arms and legs are broken / My wings are wounded by love / I’m saying, ‘let it end’ / I’m letting go / You didn’t come, you didn’t come, you didn’t come, you didn’t come / You didn’t come, you didn’t come, you didn’t come / At the bottom of the sea / In my broken heart / I kept your name.”
Remo Forrer – “Down To My Bones”
Remo represented Switzerland in 2023. His incredible voice, already well-known, shines once again in the newest ballad he released this week, where he sings his heart out. The song addresses the experience of giving everything in a relationship without receiving the same level of love in return. A key point in the lyrics highlights the idea that someone may love your skin, but the deeper connection is lacking: “But you couldn’t love me down to my bones.”
Luke Black – “BATSHIT”
Let’s not ignore the fact that this week we celebrated Halloween. It was the perfect time to add some dark vibes to the playlist, and Luke Black, who represented Serbia in 2023, is here to deliver. You already know and love Luke’s eccentric style, but if you missed his darker tracks, this one is for you. The song features an electronic sound that makes it perfect for any Halloween party or club anthem. The phrase “to go batshit” means to act completely irrationally or go crazy, which perfectly captures the energy and beat and the song. It’s wild, and we love it!
About the song and his return to his previously dark style, Luke stated: “After my debut album ‘Chainsaws In Paradise’ has been released I discovered a parasitic entity latching onto it. I was tempted to befriend it and understand it. This is one of the first encounters.”
Ajda Pekkan & Cem Adrian – “Ben Seni Çok Sevdim”
Ajda, the legendary Turkish singer who competed at Eurovision in 1980, has just released a collaboration with Cem Adrian, titled “I Loved You So Much.” The song is a reimagining of Adrian’s 2013 original, now transformed into a duet that feels truly magical. Adrian crafted the lyrics and instrumental, while Ajda’s vocals add a mesmerising layer to the track. The lyrics express the pain of an unspoken love: “I loved you so much / Maybe it’s hard to understand from my silence.”
Lindita – “Ama Ti Ama”
Lindita, who represented Albania in 2017, has just released a high-energy banger infused with traditional influences, creating a unique and captivating sound for your playlists. Her powerful voice, layered over the vibrant instrumentation, is truly the highlight, as it seems to embrace and elevate the song perfectly.
Rosa López & Naím Thomas – “Nada”
Rosa, who competed for Spain in 2002, has just released her latest song, titled “Nothing” in English. It’s a powerful track from her upcoming album, which fans are eagerly awaiting. Each song on the album reflects a life experience of Rosa, and this week’s release shares her story with Naím, who joins her in a memorable collaboration. Rosa describes working on this track as a therapeutic process following a long period of introspection.
Laura Voutilainen – “Anna meille aikaa”
Laura, who represented Finland in 2002, has just released a new ballad titled “Give Us Time,” which beautifully showcases her voice. The song captures both the joy of a perfect moment and the fear of losing it, conveying how true happiness often brings with it the vulnerability of possibly losing everything. About her newest song, she said:
“I wanted to write a song about the fear of losing someone. I wanted to write a wish, or rather a prayer, about the good times we have together, which should be as many as possible. I have true stories in my close circle where, just when lovers have found each other, when they have finally found their life partner, there has been a sudden passing, and they have been left alone again…”
Victor Crone – “By Your Side”
Victor Crone, the Swedish star who represented Estonia in 2019, has released a perfect autumn ballad that resonates deeply with both his voice and heart. This track is a cover of Sade’s classic, originally released in 2000. The lyrics convey a message of unwavering support and loyalty, even through tough times: “You think I’d leave your side, baby / You know me better than that / You think I’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees / I wouldn’t do that.”
Timebelle & Monoir – “Abu Dhabi”
Timebelle, who represented Switzerland in 2017, are a band with two Romanian members and one Swiss-born member. Their latest release is a collaboration with Romanian music producer Monoir. The song captures the mystical vibe of Abu Dhabi, enchanting listeners with Runa’s captivating voice and traditional sounds that, according to the band, create a true musical journey.
About their newest song, Timebelle siad: “Let the rhythm take you to a place where the colours of the desert meet the sweetness of the night.”
Hanna Pakarinen – “Ensilumi tulee kuudelta” / Waldo – “Piironkinjalka”
More Finnish music arrives from the televised show Vain elämää. First, we have Hanna Pakarinen, who represented Finland in 2007. This week, she presents an enchanting song titled “The Snow Will Come at Six,” reminding us that the festive winter season is just around the corner. The song was originally released by Finnish singer Hector in 1992.
Also from Vain elämää, Waldo — who competed in Eurovision as Waldo’s People for Finland in 2009 — brings a powerful, high-energy track that adds something unique to this week’s playlist. His song is another cover of a Hector classic, originally released in 1982.
Anxhela Peristeri – “HISTORIA”
Anxhela, who competed for Albania in 2021, has just released her latest song, “History.” This pop-rock track explores the thin line between past and present and the challenge of leaving the past behind. You can watch the captivating music video here.
Paula Seling & Olga Gorcinschi – “Tine-ma”
We wrap up this week’s roundup with a heartfelt autumn ballad from Paula, who represented Romania twice, first in 2010 and again in 2014 — both times in a duet with Ovi. This week, she’s back with a new duet alongside Olga Gorcinchi. The song, titled “Hold Me”, speaks of clinging to a love that means everything, even when the end is near: “Hold me in your arms for another minute / To remember everything we had / Hold me so I can feel that you are still mine / As much as I have to say, it’s hard for me to say anything.”

MÉLOVIN & Swoiia are amazing ?
So you didn’t realize that Kaleen covered and also destroyed Soniques brilliant original Track?
i think some younger people have never heard from soniques brilliant original track?
if you make a cover from a very good song like “it feels so good” give the song something new or special – here as example how good you can make it (going the avant garde dance way and untouched the original).

Probably not the best move ever, but maybe well-intentioned. I had not expected to hear from Kaleen again, but no doubt she will be back as a choreographer or dancer. I must admit I thought We Will Rave would NQ, fun and nostalgic as it was. Dance tracks still don’t seem to work at the contest.
“For What We Love” with Gunnhild Sundli from Gåte has been overlooked. Released on Friday as the official song of the Nordic Skiing World Championships in Trondheim, Norway February/March 2025.
Käärijä album was not good, but no offense!
He got great songs too.
His latest single Autiomaa is definitely the best. It’s completely different, serious and melodic, no party song.
if you like also the 80s sound a lot, please listen also to this fine song. 🙂
