They’re perhaps the most consistent country competing at the Eurovision Song Contest, having always made the grand final since the introduction of the semi-finals. And today broadcaster Suspilne Ukraine moved a step closer to seeing who will represent the country in Basel.
Producers have revealed the names and song titles of the first nine finalists of Vidbir 2025 — the country’s national selection. Those choices were made behind closed doors. But the tenth finalist — chosen in an online vote via the Diia app — will give all the power to the people.
The complete list of finalists will be announced by January 17.

Tina Karol, the music director of this year’s competition, is feeling positive.
“The nine finalists of the National Selection 2025 have been announced. Diverse and talented artists are already preparing for their performances in the final. You will also have the opportunity to choose a finalist by voting in the Diia app. One of eleven artists.”
The final show of Vidbir 2025 will take place on February 8. As in previous years, the winner will be determined by public and jury voting. Ukrainians will choose the jury of the final by online voting.

I have a strong feeling that the jury will make Ziferblat win as ‘revenge’ for last year. Regardless, I think they would bring a different kind of sound to Eurovision for Ukraine.

What about the release of the 7 songs of Luxembourg? There is no information about it in Wiwibloggs,or even the poll to vote. In account of Ukraine, I have a great expectation with Khayat. Surely Vidbir willl be spectacular as usual.

So happy for Khayat! But not for Yagody… I hope they will be the 10th finalist.
I hope Khayat comes with a cool modern song. He’s been trying to go some many years now.
