Tomorrow the third — and last — semifinal of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2016 takes place in Helsinki, Finland. Six artists will sing for three places in the final on February 27. Whether you have a Finnish phone number or not, you could pick your favourites in our poll. Now it’s time to go through the results.
Your three favourite songs were very clear. Tuuli Okkonen came out on top with her song “Don’t Wake Me Up“. Tuuli impressed wiwibloggs readers with her beautiful voice and touching lyrics. She collected total of 29.82% of the 502 votes cast.
In second place is Sandhja with her energetic and positive “Sing It Away”. Sandhja got critics behind her with her debut album “Gold”, but is still somewhat unknown to a mainstream audience. Maybe she will get her big breakthrough from Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu!
The last act you want to qualify from the third heat is Barbe-Q-Barbies. In the past Finland has sent hard rock, heavy metal and punk — but all performed by men. Is it time for them to send rock performed by strong women?
This means that according to the poll results, Gušani Brothers, Lieminen and Pietarin Spektaakkeli won’t qualify from the third heat.

For the third time my favorite UMK 2016 song is poll’s favorite too. Will this one pass the finals as well? Hope so. With Tuuli Finland would complete the great finals line-up.
