The NRJ Music Awards —France’s biggest and most glittery awards show — will unfold on November 12 in Cannes.

It will feature some of the biggest names in the music industry — both nationally and internationally — with Sia and Enrique Iglesias leading the nominations, with three each.

And among all that fabulous we will see two Eurovision stars — Amir and Celine Dion — vying for awards.

The NRJ Music Awards are based solely on online voting, which means you can cast your votes and support your favorite Eurovision stars. The voting will close on November 6.

FRANCOPHONE BREAKTHROUGH OF THE YEAR: AMIR

Amir may have launched his career on The Voice, but he has taken it to another level with Eurovision.

The “J’ai cherché” singer has watched his Eurovision entry become one of the biggest singles of the year in France and it is now close to hitting 30 million views on Youtube.

Amir has also received a nomination at the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best French Act.

FRANCOPHONE FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR: CELINE DION

Céline Dion had a terrible year, losing both her husband and her brother around the same time.

But after taking some time off to grieve she has come back even stronger. She resumed her residency in Las Vegas, appeared at the Billboard Music Awards where she received an Icon Award and released a new French Album “Encore un soir”.

Celine is no stranger to the NRJ Music Awards since she’s already performed there several times and received two awards: Francophone Duo/Group of the Year in 2002 and a honorary award for her whole career in 2008.

BONUS: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE RECEIVES TWO NOMINATIONS

His performance as the interval act at the recent Eurovision made a major impact within the Eurovision bubble and helped his song “Can’t Stop This Feeling” climb the charts globally.

So it’s legit to mention that he received two nominations for International Male Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year.

Justin has already won three NRJ Music Awards in 2003, 2006 and 2007 all in the same category: International Male Artist of the Year.

Do you think these Eurovision singers deserve to win?  Will you be voting? Let us know in the comments section below!

Quickie erratum: My second paragraph is supposed to read as “Perhaps, the reason she never mentions Eurovision very often is that she was NEVER asked about it as much.”

I’m happy to hear that Celine Dion speaks about ESC, and I guess that France is very proud of Amir, big success this year. Nobody knows what wil be successful next year, and next year …
In my opinion, France and Belgium are the ones that did well this year without having recipes, (like Ukraine or Russia), just with talent.

William, it’s so great to see Wiwi support Amir like this, I don’t have a working mobile phone at the moment so I’ve been doing what I can to get the word out to my Eurovision friends to vote for him for this award – I think he really deserves it given the year he’s had and compared to all the other nominees!

To An ESC Fan, the latest of her mentioning Eurovision was a few years back when she was guesting on Jonathan Ross’ talk show. She has nothing but fond memories about it, an even shared to the audience a funny moment she had with her husband during that time.

Perhaps, the reason she never mentions Eurovision very often is that she was ever asked about it as much.

I was looking on the internet and still don’t know what NRJ means. Anyway Celine Dion does not say anywere that she was in ESC, so why would ESC care about her. And also that NRJ (whatever that means) nominates Enrique Iglesias and Justin Timberlake. Stop courting artists that don’t care about you.

Amirs official video has only 16.5 million views and the final only 2 million views.
Dami im has 14.5 million views on her official video and 6. 5 million views on her final video.
So dami im has 4 million views more. Where did they get the figure of 30 million for Amir.
