Nine acts competing in semi-final two of Eurovision 2021 took to the stage for their first rehearsal on 10 May. Senhit took us to church, Stefania delivered the magic tricks, Daði og Gagnamagnið went full on intergalactic disco, and that’s just a sample.
After reading the reviews from the press and watching the official rehearsal clips, we asked you to vote for which act you thought delivered the best first rehearsal out of these nine countries.
This ended up being our closest rehearsal poll so far, with the top three all within 2% of each other. But in the end, after 6,286 votes were cast, we have a result…
Stefania delivered your favourite first rehearsal on 10 May
Just squeezing into pole position is Stefania from Greece with “Last Dance”. She received 1,261 votes, which is 20.06% of the total.
Rumours were flying all over the place ahead of rehearsals of what the Greek delegation were planning. And now we know – a purple dream with partially invisible backing dancers. Wiwiblogger Padraig had the following thoughts upon seeing Stefania’s rehearsal for the first time:
“Purple! Lots and lots of purple! Stefania’s stage show is flooded with all shades — mauve, violet, splashes of pink. And the singer herself wears a gorgeous catsuit, long gloves and boots that are also purple. The staging is odd. It relies heavily on green screen, which sees the dancers turn invisible. Although we can still see their outfits. At one point, Stefania does like Sergey Lazarev and climbs a set of invisible stairs… albeit in a much more leisurely and less dramatic fashion. Paradoxically, the whole thing comes across as both innovative and dated. Stefania herself delivered a fine performance, even if there were a few discombobulating glitches that saw her midriff completely vanish.”
Only a few votes behind are Iceland’s Daði og Gagnamagnið. The group brought their geek-chic aesthetic to the stage, delivering a performance of “10 Years” that was full of charm and personality. This helped them win over many of our readers and they earned 1,197 votes (19.04%).
Rounding out the podium finishers are Serbia’s Hurricane. Many fans went “Loco Loco” over their rehearsal, and the trio subsequently picked up 1,187 votes (18.88%). Sanja, Ivana and Ksenija made full use of the stage in the Rotterdam Ahoy arena and even through in a wind machine to match their name.
One other act also managed to score over 1,000 votes. Poland’s Rafał revved things up in his rehearsal and plenty of our readers have decided to join him on “The Ride”. He finished in fourth place.
Things then tail off in terms of votes from here on out. Senhit, who represents San Marino, finished in fifth place.
Sixth position in the poll goes to Moldova’s Natalia Gordienko, with Austria’s Vincent Bueno following in seventh.
Benny Cristo from the Czech Republic is eighth, and Estonia’s Uku Suviste is ninth.

Do you agree that Stefania had the best first rehearsal amongst these acts? Who do you think will improve the most in their second rehearsal? Let us know in the comments below!
Deserved
Apparently Greece wins every poll! They won’t be needing my vote then.
The bookies might disagree with the poll, they would suggest Iceland had a better rehearsal
Since the first time I have heard the song, I had a very good feeling about Stefania’s entry. My biggest concern was the live vocals. Well, no doubts about that anymore.
About the show, now I even have higher expectations on how this delivers on TV.
Looking forward to seeing the 2nd rehearsal.
Maybe we can wait with these polls until we have seen everyone’s full live performance. Or at least a little longer than what we see now.
Honestly I like Stefania and her song this year is a great improvement on last years, but the way Greek fans sabotage these polls every year is really off putting and only turns me against their entries.
I’d agree with that
Yeah there’s no denying that the Greek fans are very.. passionate and patriotic, which isn’t always the best combination.
Hey guys, why are you so negative? Isn’t there any chance that there are people who liked it?Afterall they brought a bunch of effects and everyone was impressed.
I think that she deserves this place as she had the best rehearsal along with Iceland yesterday. Also most of her fans are Dutch and can actually vote for her.
Do not really get the argument?? A poll is a tool to get peoples preferences so why Greeks are not let free to support their entry? If Swedish fans would do you wouldn’t eve mention it no? Stefania has a great song and following nothing wrong with that? Chill guys and maybe accept the fact that Greece has a good song this year nothing more nothing less..
This is a poll for wiwibloggs fans . Greek fans who are wiwibloggs readers should vote . Those who are not readers should vote and then actually read/follow the site rather than only coming to spoil a poll and leave .
It’s a bit like how we all went wow at Armenia’s 2017 entry in rehearsals and it got massacred by the casual viewers and the juries.
I have to disagree actually
Greek people vote for Cyprus in this kind of polls because I’ve heard that Elena is super famous in Greece
The ones that vote Greece in these polls are mostly Dutch and some Cypriots
Stefania girllll you were incredible yesterday!!! Her vocals were amazing!!! Maybe we didn’t see much but the press loved it, she ended up 2nd by the press poll!!! Good job girl, we love you ???
Well we didnt see nothing from Stefania so not sure how she can be the best, but ok
The good news yesterday is that nobody drastically fell from expectations. That leaves songs which were hard to qualify still hard to qualify, and favorites (Greece and Iceland) solidifying their status. Only Serbia managed to pull somewhat higher qualification expectancy compared to before. Even though I find the platform idea similar with San Marino and Moldova, I can still see the path of both of them making it. It seems like Moldova will be fishing in a more slick waters than expected, but so be it.
How are people voting without seeing the rehearsal? I can hardly tell anything from these small clips. Is there a way to see the full rehearsal online?
Cute. I think she can also win “Best Male Vocalist” and “Best Ballad” if only given the chance.
She didn’t even post this on her Story…. She has a big fan base and people like her…. No need to be rude to an 18 year old that is about to make her dream come true.
Stefania was phenomenal 🙂
Totally agree. I didn’t expect her to be such good. Quite an impressive surprise!
