She rode a wave of hype in the run up to Ethnikós Telikós 2025 — Greece’s Eurovision 2025 national final. And on Thursday evening Klavdia delivered. Her vocally flawless performance of “Asteromata” saw her win — and book her ticket to Basel.
The Show
Ethnikós Telikós 2025, the Greek national final, takes place at 20:00 CET. Two of Greece‘s most iconic Eurovision artists, Helena Paparizou and Sakis Rouvas will host tonight’s show.
Watch on YouTube from 20.00 CET
Greek-based fans can watch the event live on the Greek public broadcaster’s main TV channel, ERT1. Additionally, ERT World and ERTFLIX International will ensure international viewers can also watch the show.
Who’s competing in Ethnikós Telikós 2025?
Twelve artists will take to the stage in hopes of securing the ticket to represent Greece in Basel, Switzerland. Here is the full lineup along with their songs:
- RIKKI – “Elevator (Up and Down)”
- Thanos Lamprou – “Free Love”
- Kostas Ageris – “Gi mou”
- Andy Nicolas – “Lost My Way”
- Klavdia – “Asteromata”
- Konstantinos Christoforou & Kostas Karafotis – “Paradeisos”
- Georgina Kalais & John Vlaseros – “High Road”
- BARBZ (Barbara Argyrou) – “Sirens”
- Evangelia – “Vale”
- Dinamiss – “Odyssey”
- Nafsica – “Unhurt Me”
- Xannova Xan – “Play It!”
How will the winner be decided?
To ensure a fair and balanced result, the winner of Ethnikós Telikós 2025 will be determined through a combination of votes:
- 50% public televote
- 25% domestic jury
- 25% international jury
The countries that will comprise the international jury are Belgium, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Norway, ensuring a diverse range of musical perspectives.
After voting ends, the presenters will announce the top three contestants with the highest combined scores. The finalists will take the stage, and then the time will come when we will know the final winner live, who will represent Greece in Basel. ERT will release the full detailed results after the national final at a later stage.
Interval acts
Hosts Helena Paparizou and Sakis Rouvas will open the night alongside the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra and the ERT Choir, performing three iconic Eurovision songs: “Waterloo” by ABBA, “Hold Me Now” by Johnny Logan, and “Ligo Krasi, Ligo Thalassa kai to Agori Mou” by Marinella, Greece’s first-ever Eurovision entry. They will return to the stage later for additional performances of classic hits.
Adding to the excitement, last year’s Greek representative Marina Satti will perform her Eurovision 2024 hit “ZARI”, while Theo Evan, Cyprus‘ Eurovision 2025 act, will also take the stage.
The night will proceed with the performances of the 12 finalists before the voting determines who will represent Greece in Basel.
Greece at Eurovision
This year’s final marks Greece’s return to a full-scale national selection for the first time since 2015, which MAD TV had also organised. Fans may recall that a national final was planned in 2018, an internal selection led to Yianna Terzi representing Greece with “Oniro mou”.
Greece has a proud history in the contest, including its iconic win in 2005 with “My Number One” by Helena Paparizou. Last year, Marina Satti represented the country with “Zari”, finishing 11th in the Grand Final after placing 5th in the semi-final.
Who do you think would slay representing Greece this year? Let us know in the comments section below!

I love Chlamydia’s song, 12 points from Azerbaijan
I m sure in your country you are full of Chlamydias
It’s okay and that’s the best I can say about this, as it doesn’t interest me that much. Meh.
Very average song, nothing new here and the staging is so boring. They need to spice it up or people will fall asleep.
I don’t know about this one. Maybe I have to listen it again…But hey it’s in Greek and that’s a positive thing!
Looking at the voting board…I’m not sure if it makes sense. A total of 233 votes for 11 songs (last place got zero points). That is 2 x 58 (=12+10+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1) which is 232 points. I suppose the televote has maybe 1 extra point to break a tie so their highest point would be 13 instead of 12. Okay so 233 votes make sense from two sets of votes. How does the winning song get 44 points? Shouldn’t the maximum points be 25 (top points from both juries (12) and televote (13)). Does anyone know the real breakdown of the Greek… Read more »
You had Nafsica and Evangelina and this boring song won….. ?? Make me fall asleep more than sleeping beauty did
Nafsica made us all fell asleep lol. Boring ballad from the 90’s.
Awful , I think this is one of the worse Greek songs ever
Bravo Klavdia
I think it has a lot of potential but it’s a very special song so it needs get a massive makeover like Jamala did in 2016. They might need to slightly change the song to give it some dynamism and climax but the staging should tell a story. I want her to move her hands more and show emotions. Her voice is excellent so that’s a major plus because we usually see artists with great songs but awful vocals. I cannot say if this is going to qualify but I can totally say they need to be more creative and… Read more »
It will slay the jury vote in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
But she first has to qualify… Semi finals are without jurys.. remember? Otherwise she will not slay at all!
This will be an epic fail. It’ll have the same fate as in 2018, as “Oniro Mou” failed to qualify, also a traditional Greek song.
2018: Blame it to the juries…..
I’m getting Nana Miskouri vibes.
I was just about to say the same.
LOOVE THIS.
Anyone know if Rikki’s ok?
On saturday, depending on the Slovenia and Belgium choices, we could have the 1st 7 songs all sung in their native langage ! That’s so nice 😀
First time of watching the full performance. Good vocalist at the moment im not sure of the song. I’m please the beat kicked in half way through. It may be a slow burner for me.
A good song , powerful voice. This will qualify, but it is not a winner.
Such a masterpiece!! Good luck Greece ???
Potential winner !!
What an amazing young woman
Bravo Greece !!
Nana Mouskouris vibes : the same beautifull voice !
Absolutely !
Good song, good voice, but not sure if it reaches the final, mediocre stage performance
It’s a breathtaking song and Klavdia brought great vocals but it takes really long to build and the first 1.5 minute are really slow pace so I fear that televoters quickly will loose interest, no shade but just being realistic. Only at the end there’s that climax. It will clearly need epic staging to convince the public. I see the juries eating this up though, but in a televote only semi-finale I could see this stranding there and sadly not making the finale.
This sounds like 80% of all Greek entries. She sings nice but the song is a yawn. But good luck to her!
considering that all of the artist had two weeks to prepare and everything, all of them did great. i don’t think that they’ll keep the outfit and the staging.
Please fire the stylist…
Singing in Greek doesn’t mean it’s good song, I’d say. I lost interest half way through.
First three songs I really needed to force myself to rank them. Nothing of interest. Then came this actual proper contestor. Really nice. I so much hope they won’t translate the song. It’s really cool the way it is!
Winners potential.
Great choice Greece. I will probably support you from Rest of the World if everything goes smoothly.
Is she channeling Nana Mouskouri 1963 with the glasses look
It’s not just a look. She really does have such bad eyesight, I don’t think we’ve had many female singers with glasses at Eurovision.
We did, Israel was represented by Moran Mazor in 2013.
That’s who else I was thinking of, but I couldn’t remember her name.
Good point. People will remember her for it when it comes to voting.
Amazing song and performance from Greece this year. Better than 2024 even in my opinion! Definitely top 10, maybe even top 3!!!!
I wonder how much the greeks will hype this up
A lot like usual, but faked hype won’t help, it hurts more.
we already do and it’s not fake at all cause many people truly like this song not only as a eurovision song
i mean many Greek people, so yeah don’t be offended or surprised if some of us (greeks) hype the song or if we are a bit too enthusiastic
And you totally can be, without being biased, because it is really a beautiful song
This was our first national final after many years so it went better as expected. Still we can learn from it because all the entries could have been presented better with more visuals and especially in the bops it was visible that something was lacking. Personally I thought Dinamiss were very good. Asteromata is a great song, maybe the easy choice but still it will probably differ from the other entries. About the staging.. I am not afraid, in Switzerland there will be more features and there is time and talent to make a great presentation of the song. And… Read more »
this is ghastly !
This is in the same category as Portugal’s “Grito” for me…more jury appeal than televote. Needs flawless vocals and austere but beautiful staging to land a lower top ten.
Don’t worry for the vocals. She will nailed it
Very beautiful song and absolutely flawless vocals. Yeah staging looked a bit bare and the dress wasn’t the best, but there’s still plenty of time to improve for Basel. Good choice, Greece.
Klavdia has a good voice, but that song really doesn’t go anywhere for me. All felt a bit flat, improvement on the stageing could possibly elevate the performance. One for the jurys, I can’t see the televote going big for this.
Love how people are referencing Nana Mouskouri since she represented Luxembourg in Eurovision 1963!
Before Greece even debuted. I just realized we haven’t seen lot of female singers wearing glasses.
Another Greek actually WON for Luxembourg before Greece even debuted!
Vicky Leandros! And both countries are in the same semifinal this year
She made a special appearance at Athens 2006 too!
Amazing choice Greece!
Evangelia might have done better with televotes.. But i really love the music… But as i don t speak greek and the static version with no visuals and no staging it doesnt give me a clue of what she s singing about… Not a speck.. No idea… But she stole nana mouskouri s eyeglasses and i loooooooove it!!!
Of course the emotions in her voice tells you about the song. It’s an emotional song with a sad vibe.
klavdia was my second of the night, she provided a good vocal and was a breath from the four songs before her – however everything felt quite static to me, whereas barbz was a better choice imo, bringing a good vocal, strong visuals, and a song that would stand out in eurovision. i still think klavdia will do well (top 15?) but think barbz would have been a better choice.
It’s a nice song but it doesn’t instantly grab me. First minute is quite dull but last minute is good.
The best song won! Evangelia was simply too weak vocally and Barbz‘s song is too Czechia coded and would have gone down. And people who compare Asteromata with Onirou Mou don’t hear the difference in quality. If the staging is improved a lot, I see Klavdia in the Top 5. The juries will love it and so will viewers who have good taste in good music.
I am pleased with the winner given the choices we had. I believe it has the opportunity to do good in the contest. Also pleased that Barbz did good!
She will get a lot from juries yall whether we like her staging or not she has amazing vocals. And she will qualify for sure its Greece cmon..
No juries in the semis though, Will public go with it? No Cyprus to vote for them as well
No Cyprus but there is Armenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia who always vote for Greece. Also big Greek diaspora in Germany, UK who also vote in the semi. So i think its an easy QF.
let’s hope so, it’s kinda disappointing seeing comments from people saying that this is not greece and more uptempo song should be send to eurovision.
Yes my big favorite has won . I am happy
Klavdia 44 points
Evangelina 42 points
Barbz 30 points
Rikki came 7th
Nafsica came last with 0 points
Evangelia won the public vote
I wrote a comment but not published d
She got 24 from public (1st place = 12 x 2) + 18 from juries (10 + 8 so third and second place)
Klavdia had 44 which is 20 from public (2nd place = 10 x 2) and 12 + 12 from juries 1st place both juries
It is the only mathematical way it adds up
Thems the breaks
Yeah jury robbed Evangelia, they gave 8p to her and 12p to Klavdia
Maybe because she sang badly
LOL Where did you study maths? ? There is an alternative, 2nd in public vote, 1st in international jury, 2nd in domestic jury. 20+12+10=42
#JusticeForRikki
I need Rikki in my life
SEVENTH??? I gave that show my whole evening.
Rikki doesn’t care, he will live happily ever after in his beloved elevator regardless. Priorities…
Klavdia 44 points… Evangelia 42.. it was so close. I wish they showed the exact jury/public breakdown .. it was not very transparently announced. Disappointed. Think Evangelia had a more current song and more potential.
Evangelia won the public vote

How do you know that?
They showed the scoreboard at the end, Klavdia 44, Evangelia 42. Im just trying to add up the 44 for Klavdia and 42 for Evangelia add up. If Evangelia didnt ween the public vote (say second place so 2×10=20 points) then she would need 12+10 points from the juries to make it to 42. If Klavdia had won the public vote (24 points), then this means she got 20 from the juries. Which would mena she got 10+10 (which can’t be, because in our hypothesis, Evangelia got one of the jury 10s. So the only remaining option is Klavdia got… Read more »
So, your first comment was simply invalid. Evangelia might have won the public vote, and she may have not. Klavdia might have won the public vote, and she may have not.
We can only find out if they release the full results.
Why it’s always a girlbop that loses to a ballad…
Meh…
Dinamiss were awesome. Can’t wait for it to be uploaded to Spotify, that banger is going straight on my playlist!
This was not only the only real choice for them, but an amazing one. I see Greece doing incredibly well this year.
For now, with what we see Greece is NQ. And she will be in same semi and half of the semi with Nina Zizic who is far stronger performer. Good luck next year Greece.
Keep downvoting me but it doesn’t change the fact Nina is far better performer than Klavdia lol
The girl has 0 stage presence, Nina Zizic eats her for the dinner.
