National final season has come to an end and we now have the chosen ones who will move on to compete at Eurovision. However, many of the other entries that didn’t make it will remain on our playlists for some time. To celebrate these acts, it’s time for our countdown of Team Wiwi’s Top 50 national final songs of Eurovision 2025.

The team here at wiwibloggs have voted for our favourite songs that competed in the national finals for Eurovision 2025 but were not selected for Basel. Over 140 of this year’s songs received points from our jurors. Now, we’re ready to share which of them made it into our Top 50. We’ll reveal ten tracks each day until we reach the winner.

Note this is not an objective list, but is determined by the personal votes of a panel of wiwibloggers. We encourage you to share your own personal favourites in the comments.

Lusterka is my number 1 song of the season. I understand why Poland selected Justyna but if they had selected Lusterka it would have been my winner this year. I also like Tristeza and Believe Me, but the rest of the songs above are not for me.

15 – Gebrasy: Whole (Lithuania) – We can’t talk about Ieva delivering every time, and not mention Gebrasy as well. He wrote perhaps my favorite song of the whole 2021 NF season (well, him and Gjon), and since then, almost every year he delivers something in that ballpark, also high quality, but not *as flawless*. Always being overlooked by the audiences. Perhaps it’s time for a genre switch? And a year of a pause.  14 – Lelek: The Soul of my Soul / Zašto mi otimaš dom (Croatia) – Okay, I’m doing a bit of a cheat-mode here. This wonderful… Read more »

20 – Nomi Tales: Funniest Thing (Sweden) – Good for Sweden to pick my favorite as their winner, thus I can forgive them for NQ-ing my 2nd and 3rd favorite of the whole contest. Slightly eerie, but very palpable and playful, this is the closest think any of the Nordics came to the ”witchy / chanty genre” which is usually well-represented at MGP.  19 – The Ludvig: Ligo (Latvia) – An unusual song that does just as Eurofans want (combining modern with traditional, mainstream pop with ethnic flair and even randomly tossed in words in a local language), but with… Read more »

Josh’s “Tristeza” is such a moving piece of music, but it’s also probably the only time entertainment has ever been ruined by a giant pole.
Overall, some of the best moments of 2025 are in this segment here.

I’m going to bet on not enough time to pivot (or they won’t feel the need to)

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Loyalty. I do actually like the song, though.

I bet they are at each other’s throats right now.
On its own, the song is so derivative that it doesn’t deserve so much praise.
