It’s the start of December, and you all know what that means – Festivali i Këngës is only a few weeks away! Preparations for Festivali i Këngës 53 have begun and the director of the show is making sure it will be spectacular! Albania’s national broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) recently conducted the semi-final draws and the Festivali i Këngës orchestra is already rehearsing the songs, directed by Shpëtim Saraçi and music producers Alfred Kaçinari and Edmond Zhulali.
Semi-Final 1 running order:
1. Enver Petrovci – Të vranë bukuri (Destroyed your beauty)
2. Revolt Klan – Më mungon (I miss you)
3. Julian Gjojdeshi – Himn jetës (Anthem of life)
4. Sigi Bastri & Florent Abrashi – Eklips mbi oqean (Eclipse over the ocean)
5. Marsela Çibukaj –Sëmuj (Sickness)
6. Saimir Braho – Kristal (Crystal)
7. Klajdi Musabelliu – Vetëm te ti besoj (I only believe in you)
8. Erga Halilaj – Ti s’më njeh (You don’t know me)
9. Besiana Mehmeti & Shkodran Tolaj – Kështjella (The castle)
10. Estela Brahimllari – Kjo natë (This night)
11. Lindita Halimi – S’të fal (I don’t forgive)
12. Grupi Offchestra – Bajram (Eid festival)
13. Venera Lumani – Dua të jetoj (I want to live)
Semi-Final 2 running order:
1. Jozefina Simoni – Mendje trazi (Stirred mind)
2. Altin Goci – Rock dhe për gjithë jetën (Rock and for all of eternity)
3. Bojken Lako Band – Të ndjej (I feel you)
4. Elhaida Dani – Të kërkoj (I look for you)
5. Kelly – Nëse ti do (If you want)
6. Rezarta Smaja – Më rrëmbe (Captivate me)
7. Grupi Aurora – Maria (Maria)
8. Ana Gramo – Në koma (In a coma)
9. Mjellma Berisha – Sot jetoj (Today I live)
10. Emi Bogdo – Një femër (A woman)
11. Agim Poshka – Në rrugën tonë (In our street)
12. Enxhi & Xhejn Kumrija – Njeri (Human)
13. Gjergj Leka – Himn (Anthem)
Thirteen contestants will compete in each semi-final — the first on December 26 and the second on December 27. The Grand Final of Festivali i Këngës 53 will take place on December 28.

of course it doesn’t matter . there is no televoting and the jury will vote the composer of the song not the song … this is the biggest issue of festivali i kenges. and the fact that rtsh doesn’t seem to like modernization but has stuck in the 70s/80s… i highly doubt they would change things this year. i only hope elhaida has a good song at least .
Interestingly, running order might not matter that much for FiK… remember, Hersi won from 1st in the running order last year.
