Uzari & Maimuna have been hard at work since Belarus voted for them to sing their song “Time” at Eurovision in Vienna. Since then, opinion on the song has been fairly split, with the duo placing mid-table or slightly below that in our favourite act polls. So hopefully the work they’ve been doing is going to pay off, as they are ready to present a new revamped version of the song. This new version will be what y’all will hear in Vienna.

Tonight at the “Triumph to the Heroes of Sport 2014” ceremony in Minsk, Uzari & Maimuna performed the new version of “Time”. The audience certainly seemed to enjoy the performance and gave the duo some rapturous applause at the end.

The beginning of the song has become more gentle and calm, but it haven’t lost its former energy. Also they have added some fabulous violin chords, which sound truly amazing. Overall the new version seems to be a massive improvement!

How do y’all feel about it? Do you think this revamp is better than the initial version? Let us know in the comments below!

This new version of Time is much better. The rhythm gives the song more energy. The violin makes a bigger contribution which will set it apart from other songs in Vienna.
Whatever version you choose Time will always be superior to Milki. My farts sound better than Milki.

They actually improved it LOL. Not near my favourites, but now it will at least be enjoyable to watch.

It doesn’t sound that annoying anymore. I’m surprised. For me it was last from 15 songs but now I like it better. That “oh-aahh” in chourus was the thing I hated but now it’s acceptable.

Not a bad song. I preferred Milki though.

Sounds bland. I like the violins though. Overall it seems like it’s gonna be a really somber year. Italy, Estonia and The Netherlands are obv. leading.

The extended solo pre-chorus segment is a masterpiece by its own merit and I’ll go as far as saying that this will earn Belarus its second best result ever Koldun. ‘Time’ is on their side to pin down all the other small details.

It’s better. I liked the softened beginning and the more highlighted violin. However, it’s still far from being my favourite.

Much better. Probably not enough but several of the real problems of the song were addressed. What they really need to do is have back up singers do the “ha ha” part instead of the lead singer. You can go a bit more like Armenia last year and build the instrumentals to carry the song.

@danielvarga forget Milki, I loved them but what about Beatrees, they were killing it on stage.

I love the beginning. It starts with something intimate and the first chorus really fit in that feeling, after hear the first chorus, I wanna something exploding at the end of the song. when second chorus starts, I think I will get it, but there’s no bomb there 🙁
Their problem is just the end of the song. Overall, they did nice improvement 😀

I really love the song of BELARUS 4 Vienna! <3 Its my 2nd most favorite entry currently! <3 Uzari's singing part really gets me & i have a crush on him and his passionate hot voice..! <3 It was fair deal that this beautiful song won over the over hyped one of Milki's after all.. But since too many euro fans don't share the same excitement about *TIME* as i do i really don't know about the chances of Belarus in the upcoming Diamond Euro Vision.. Uzari might won't even qualify to the final with a great sadness of mine..… Read more »

If this song goes through, it will only be if the former soviet neighbors rally to help.

I couldn’t really recognize the differences overall…? It still sounds great. “Time” is a dark horse this year…

To slightly quote Oprah: “You get a new version, and you get a new version, everybody gets new versions!!” Apparently Switzerland has updated its song, so will Malta (I think I read that somewhere) and as we see Belarus just did. Frankly, I dont even remember much of the original version, seems like I got to YouTube for a refresher.

I think this version is better, more fitting for Eurovision. Maimuna is actually really pretty.

I actually like this version better (the violin solo is perfect)
but it’s still last out of the 16 for me

And they’re going down my list…

I hope they’re going to change their mind and sing the first version in Vienna instead.

The chorus still sucks, it’s creepy and I hate the ‘ha-ha”s.
Violin is nice but thats about it, and you cant have an entire song dedicated to sound unless your Secret Garden.

Very rhythmic. The kick of the drum may be gone but it is still good. But I would suggest for Maimuna to appear in the camera first before Uzari just to emphasize her presence more in the beginning.

The song is good but Uzari can’t sing…it’s my second-last so far, because Switzerland is my last. Sorry Belarus and Switzerland but Milki from Belarus and Timebelle or Licia Chery from Switzerland were better.

The song totally lost all of its power (if it even had some). Now its just boring. Should’ve chosen Milki, Belarus.

Now that I think about it, Maimuna is kind of useless in the song, she’s just standing there looking pretty and pretending to play the violin. It kind of irks that you can’t play instruments live at ESC.

I like it, it was one of my favourites from the beginning and it still is (so far), I like that they gave a little more protagonism to Maimuna, even if just slightly, by giving her a little more soloist time, the original version sounded more like an Uzari song with some violin on the back. What I’m more concerned about is the staging, I don’t feel much chemistry between these two, they feel like just two performers who happened to be on stage at the same time instead of a duet, a unity. I hope they improve this last… Read more »

I liked the old one quite a bit, but this is a bit of an improvement. I wish they had kept a bit of the energy in the verses, but I’m loving that violin.

I’m so mad. Before it was awesome, I loved its originality, but now.. I don’t know. It’s not the same. They would have done so much better in the competition with the older version. Words can’t describe how disapointed I am…

I liked the old version better actually, they sucked all the power out of it now. Also I am 100% convinced that adding more violin is just a big fuck you to Rybak lol.

I like the changes they made, softening the start and especially changing the chords around cause the original version they got repeated too often. Best entry from Belarus in my opinion (Work Your Magic now my #2).

I like it more than the old version! I love the violin and piano sounds running through the song! It’s a big improvement! Well done Belarus! Just went up in my rankings! 🙂

Elainovision

Oh, Belarus, why did you do this? 🙁

Time is no longer like thunder. With the energy taken out of the choruses to focus on more violin trickery, now it’s more as if Time is like someone pulling up a chair. (ah-aaaaah-ahah)

Massive improvement? Sorry, but the author here is talking out of his backside. The power in the song has all but gone, especially the drums. It’s now just synthesized nonsense.

still not my favorite, but maybe that’s because of the horrible video quality. Glad they added more violin.
