WATCH: Nathan Trent releases official video for “Running on Air”

His Eurovision 2017 song “Running on Air” leaked on Spotify late on Sunday evening, keeping fans up late into the night as they tapped their feet and bobbed their heads to the simple and endearing track.

And now Austria’s Nathan Trent has us swaying once more with the release of his gorgeous music video, which shows off the beauty of Austria and Nathan’s own telegenic face. Anyone else seeing Justin Timberlake?

The video sees Nathan traversing a series of stunning landscapes as he makes an ascent up a snow-capped mountain.

He starts his journey alone, but gets a little help along the way from a jeep driver and a kind stranger who helps him up after a fall and gives him directions.

It all fits with the themes of perseverance found in his song. As Nathan sings: “I’m taking all that struggle — reminds me what I’m fighting for. I’m living it up, not gonna stop until I make that final score.”

Nathan is clearly overjoyed to have the video out. Writing on his Facebook page, he said:

“The day has finally come! #RunningOnAir is the official song which will represent Austria at the #Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv this year. I’m proud, happy overwhelmed and incredibly excited!
Thanks everyone who made this possible! #ESC2017”

On Monday Nathan uploaded an Instagram video addressing the leak of his song.

“As some of you probably might have noticed, the song is out on several streaming platforms. That wasn’t planned, that happened. But we’re staying positive and going with the flow.”

“I want to thank everyone who is supporting me and supporting the song. Thank you for liking and sharing and giving good comments. It means a lot to me and I really appreciate it.
