South African pop stars David Fourie and Monique have released “My hart het klaar besluit,” the first official cover of “Running Scared,” the winning entry from the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
Translated as “My heart has already decided,” the song comes at you in a different tongue but with all the cheese and melodrama you’ve come to expect from the Eurovision-winning ballad. David and Monique have much more chemistry than Ell & Nikki, perhaps because David, unlike Ell, has hit puberty. Wiwi has no f*cking clue what they’re saying, but he’s totally into it. However, Wiwi and Vebooboo both prefer Ell & Nikki’s video in which Nikki shows us her upper thigh and appears more interested in her canine companion than her lover.
