I actually quite like the motto for Belgrade in 2008, but I absolutely hated the fact that the theme was paint. Those annoying sound effects made, and flying paint everywhere put me off.

I liked Baku’s show the best, because it seemed the most professional. But hands down, my favourite logo is 2011 from Dusseldorf. I LOVE that logo, it speaks to my heart.

Oslo 2010’s slogan wins for me because it’s not just pretty words and sentiments. ESC was started not only to promote international harmony, but also to push the limits of live broadcasting technology. “Share the Moment” re-interprets these goals in a humanly meaningful way. And they really took it seriously — Making the original vision into a real experience by organising a pan-european flash mob, using video of people watching in their homes, and doing everything to create the sense of a single audience sharing the moment with each other. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3gEHRENCHc And while I’m going off-topic and focussing on interval… Read more »

In all honesty? I think the Belgrade 2008 logo is the most sophisticated logo. While the actual contest didn’t, this logo did go back to roots of the contest: songs, sound, music. The ‘Confluence Of Sound’ motto is the only motto that really refers to ‘sound’. All other themes are about hearts bating, sharing stuff, creating fires, blabla. Eurovision is about sound…..music…..songs, not hearts….moments……and fires. 2nd Favourite is the butterfly-logo from Malmö 2013. Again a sophisticated simple design, but in times of economic and financial hardships, I simply like the simple three words ‘We Are One’. On May 14th, 16th… Read more »
