Earlier this week Ruth Lorenzo made it clear to WiwiBloggs.Com that she has her eyes set on victory at Eurovision in Copenhagen.
During the final of Mira Quién Va a Eurovisión, Ruth kept her performance of ‘Dancing In The Rain’ stripped back and restrained. But now she is stepping up and turning out. During last night’s performance on reality series Mira Quién Baila she drew on the amazing choreography of her music video. She also added extra sizzle by pairing up with her seriously hot backing dancer, Italian beauty Giuseppe Di Bella. Ruth has shown us that she isn’t just a static ballad singer. This woman can move.
Eurovision allows for six people on stage. With the recent announcement of her four backing singers there is one vacant slot. WiwiBloggs.Com thinks there’s more than a strong chance that Ruth will be partnered with Giuseppe for some romantic and water-fuelled staging in Copenhagen. Bring your umbrellas. It’s gonna get wet on stage, y’all!
So what do y’all think? Should Ruth have been dancing all her life or should she stay static behind the microphone? Comments below peeps!

I’m surprised that she can sing and dance at the same time like this. Very impressive and certainly compelling to watch. However, I think she will need to work very hard if she wants this to be a big success in Copenhagen, because she’s missing quite a few notes, most notably in the chorus. She missed quite a lot of notes when she sung in the national final as well though, so at least this dancing performance is more interesting.
Nice!! Really improved nearer to the end, but yeah, she shouldn’t do too much dancing if she struggles that much in the verses. I hope she’s allowed water on stage haha.
In the show Ruth sang “Waterloo”

It seems like Georgia 2010 to me… and Ruth doesn’t have the charm of Sofia NIzharadze BTW.
I like the dancing (and the hot male dancer)! It may need a bit of editing to simplify it so she doesn’t sound too tired. Oh, and yes to the water please!
@Timselvision, the last few years a few songs where promoted a lot during the weeks before the eurovision and no matter the quality of the performance most of them ended top 5. Best example is still Azerbidjan 2011, Nicky couldn’t sing very well and their performance had zero chemistry. I see the same happening with the Armenian song this year and it really would be a shame if this trick would work again as I think there are better songs this year. I am really looking forward to the first semi final, I think there might be a few big… Read more »
Better to focus more on her voice and she forget dancing. With a good choir and a few extra voices, she can stay in the favorites.
that’s awesome but as other comment she is probably not gonna dance since it afffects her sing performance, still she was outstanding!!! she got the notes even when she was clearly losing some breath, GO RUTH GO!!! SPAIN GO!!!
Ruth will absolutely SLAY the Eurovision stage if she does the same performance in Copenhagen!! It’s giving me P!nk vibes (she did a similar number for “Try” at American Music Awards but more spectacular). The song isn’t that strong so it needs a big boost from the live performance. If Ruth improves her vocals and brings some water on stage (somehow..) the performance will be spectacular and Spain will end very high on the scoreboard. Eurovision is a TV show so it needs show, a static ballad will be ignored. GO RUTH!!
Pame Ispania! let’s see Madrid 2015!
Please Stupid and Foolish European people!!! Enough with the “robbed with victory” crap!!! No one buys that anymore!!! Nuff said!!!
Anyway, Ruth should focus on the singing, not the dancing!!!
She needs to sing the version from the Spanish National Final! The English lyrics in the stanza make the song sound cheesy…
For Ruth – In Copenhagen, will you be standing still while singing or dancing around on stage?
She has only danced for this dance program.
But she will not dance in the ESC. She is aware that loses the control of her voice if she do it.
Greetings Europe!!
Nice show :3 I am glad that she wont dance in Copenhagen tough. I don’t think she can handle dancing & singing at the same time 😡
I don’t know if this was supposed to be a glimpse of what she plans to do in the final or just a presentation as part of a dance show, but if she indeed plans to dance during ESC she will need to practice and improve her vocals, because right now it goes a little off in some parts. In my opinion it is a big mistake to incorporate such a heavy dancing routine because then, the main focus will be on that, if she dances people will judge more her dancing rather than her song, they will only judge… Read more »
She did just this for a program , is clear she dont go to do that in Denmark , still this year my number one , Spain 12 points
Oh God, please keep it simple. The dance will destract from the song (which I don’t particularly like). I think she’ll have a good chance if she keeps it classy and dignified without dramatic ballet moves. As Frank Les Pays Bas said, it will be too similar to Estonia and Lithuania, except that this just isn’t a song to dance to. Her vocals should be sufficient (if it’s good, you don’t need an entourage).
If Ruth doesn’t win this, it will be daylight robbery! Just like last year when Zlata was robbed of victory!
This link is working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1YzwvA1BfA
@Frank les Pais Bays: there IS no clear favorite! That’s good, because nobody can tell who’ll be the winner, so there’s lot more excitement.
I actually hope Spain will be the winner, or else UK, Hungary, Romania or Spain. I don’t like these songs the most, but I’m fed up with Scandanavian / ex-Soviet victories XD May one of these countries may be the winner, I hope it’s Armenia (my favorite).
I think she can use some dancing routine but not during the whole show because what makes the song powerful is her vocal performance, so if she knows how to mix dancing and singing Spain will be in the top 5
Oh, well… I was truly disheartened when this song was chosen. I hated every second of it, and found the screaming unbearable.
And then they came up with a better version and a tasteful video clip. And now this idea for a live show. I honestly have to admit that, if she can pull it off (and that’s certainly going to take LOTS of training and work on her breathing and passages), this could be a definite contender for the middle part of the top ten. I was impressed at what they presented as a preliminary stage version!!
I went to watch it again and the video got removed 🙁
Lithuania, Estonia and Spain all have the same “girl with dancer” act of which Spain has the strongest song to my opinion. The quality of the eurovision microphone and electronics will be dramatically better than what you hear in this video. Who thinks that Loreen had a flawless performances should really get a hearing aid. Just like Loreen, Ruth will be backed up by professional backing singers who will carry most of the song. If her head of delegations really brings in the rain and if they give her a good starting position this to me is a strong contender… Read more »
It is a risk – it will be far more interesting to watch Ruth dancing on stage in Copenhagen (Pastora probably lost out in 2012 by just singing, now matter how amazing those vocals were) but her ‘static’ vocal performances have been flawless. I am sure Ruth and her team will be looking at this and seeing if they can perfect singing/dancing – they might even see what it looks like in the rehearsals in the B&W…
Goddess.
All comments aside, I think we all know that it should be Brequette on stage with Mas instead of Ruth. It is a song contest, not X Factor. This song is 90 seconds of quality followed by 90 seconds of screaming. It will finish 15th at best.
Oh my goodness, a singer dancing with a male dancer. Euphoria plagiarism! Just kidding.
If she can keep her vocals consistent whilst dancing like that, I think this will be an easy top 5 finish for Spain. And unlike Brequette, Ruth actually hit her high note flawlessly. Ruth has proved herself to be a strong contender for the title this year.
Madrid 2015? Who knows?
Oh god…people is jealous of you Ruth…and of Spain… THIS WAS ONLY A PERFORMANCE FOR A DANCING SHOW PROGRAM..oh god… you should investigate a little before open your mouth… RUTH, YOU DID IT AMAZING, if you practice your vocals while you dance, YOU WILL IMPROVE A LOT, you got more than a month!!
I LOVE YOU!!!
Perfomance is amazing, but I think that she has to practice vocals a little bit 🙂 Anyway, this one is one of my faves 🙂 🙂 🙂
. . . furthermore, we have two acts doing potentially similar presentations, Estonia and Spain (although one might have water). If both make the final this could either force the votes to either one or the other . . . or worse . . . dilute the votes between the two.
By May, she will have managed to iron out all the little imperfections and she will be without flaw. She’s ambitious like that.
The staging act was too much, i don’t enjoy her song
No! Vocals suffer and wobble in places, adding live show nerves is that a risk she should take? While she’ll be the better of the singing dancers the sound is most important.
Truly talented lovely lady … Just the song isn’t a winning song .. Something a bit more original she would be a runaway winner ..
She will need to practice this routine more and more which I’m sure she will to ace it .. Like ability factor is is my favorite constant with conchita
Everything about her is just perfect. She can definitely win this year.
