In her Eurovision song “To the Sky”, Tijana Dapcevic says that she wants to go loud, make her move and let it all hang out. So it’s no surprise that this Diva of Dance prefers music that makes her move to music that makes her feel like she’s dying. As she told us at Eurovision in Concert: “I love to party and I like good energy and good vibes and I love life!”
And we love her. As you can see in the video above, Tijana is a complete B.I.T.C.H—a beauty in total control of herself. She tells us about leaving her homeland for Serbia, about her unique and edgy style, and her love of white spectacles. When we say we’re talking to Tijana from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, she promptly corrects us. “I’m from Macedonia.”
Don’t you love Tijana’s attitude? Are you going to be voting Macedonia during the second semi-final?

Guys please just stop to call Fyrom Macedonia the real name is former Yugoslav rebublic of Macedonia. The macedonia is greek and it’s one of the most historical places of my country Greece! So I feel so bad when I Hear to call Fyrom Macedonia because I am greek Macedonian and I know the history of my place and Alexander the Great. The laws of universe says that this country called F.Y.R.o.M. and it just belong to the geographical place of Alexander’s Ancient Macedonia when this Slavic tribes was living in Siberia and the Greek Alexander was the king of… Read more »
And PeterAlex89 your statement that “The F.Y.R. prothem is not decorating,is separating your ex Yugoslavian country which was named Vardarska” is absolutely untrue. It was called the Republic of Macedonia within Former Yugoslavia.
She has every right to say she is Macedonian. Absolutely every right. Modern Greeks are not direct descendants of Ancient Greeks, but as a lot of Balkan nations are a melange…We are not calling ourselves The United Kingdom of Anglo-Saxony and Normania, now are we? Italy is not called The Ancient Republic of Rome, is it?….Get a sodding grip and stop boring everyone with the name dispute between Macedonia and yourselves. Greece has far greater problems, such as conning Europe out of billions of pounds after joining the EU on a false economic pretext and then milking it for all… Read more »
she is cute! I love her))) Good luck
@This is my opinion
To hate a person is radically different than “I hate ballads”. “I hate ballads” is a little more but not a lot more than “I do not like ballads”. Using this rather common words as a pretext for your display of hate towards another person is a huge exaggeration.
oh but this is eurovision song contest, bridge of love and peace where people unite and no rrom for hate, she already started to hate something she hates ballads that are in eurovision, ignorant, europe doesn’t need you and your hatful and alergic reaction towards ballad song, this world is not all about you to dance your arse off, many ballad songs won in eurovision as result of public and jury voting all over the europe and if you are gonna hate ballads you disrespect eurovision viewers taste, your little mind will vanish to stay in semifinal i hope you… Read more »
I ought to reply to visitors who commented my opinion. To Dar:I didn’t ask your opinion about how I sound or seem like.I don’t know and I don’t care what has happened between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but I definitely know what has happened between Greece and FYROM name dispute, which you obviously ignore. The fact that we face financial problems-as most of countries do,included FYROM to much worse level than us-doesn’t deprive our right to defend our national history and culture which are not based on communistic propagandas like FYROM.It’s so easy to be indifferent and careless but your life will be so… Read more »
@PeterAlex89 & every other, including myself – let’s not argue about Macedonia’s name. Let those incompetent politicians that ruined nearly every Balkan country find a solution. If they are capable of that! Firstly, they create problems for getting votes, and then – ride on them for future elections. Only despicable things for them to say, sadly.
At first, it was this issue that got MANY pro/contra comments all over the net in regards to Eurovision. Now, that “title” has the Azerbaijan/Armenia one. Or it was Armenia/Azerbaijan? Never mind.
Both songs, of Greece and Macedonia, are the party-goers. That’s OK. 🙂
*Espen
🙂 If the Carl Epsen can’t hit the notes is due to the strong feelings he delivers. In a party song you have to sing perfectly – there is obviously no party vibe to build. Moreover I do not see how the “can’t sing ” label can be put on Tijana.
As for being “straight talk” and not “politically correct” it is her every right to do so. Even low rank politicians or officials have an almost infinite degree of freedom to speak their mind.
While everyone is hating on her for stating she hates ballads, I actually applaud her for her honesty. After a while the interviews really boil down to them mumbling in a bored voice “Oh, this is my first time in London/Amsterdam/Copenhagen and everything is so wonderful”, “I don’t care about the results, I just want to have a good time”, “I have heard a few of the competing songs and they all sound wonderful”, and all of this fake stuff that they are told to say. I love the singer who isn’t afraid to break out of that and be… Read more »
She said what actually 85% or 90% of so many post-dana int. or post-ruslana fans think and feel when it comes to Eurovision: it should all be about beats and beats and beats …. and party time … like a club on a Saturday night with a voting including for some bizarre twist of nature …. and some flags waving around … and cameras all around … and lots of people trying (cof cof) to speak in English … and other trying to sing (cof cof vomit) also in English … She was braver and more honest about it than… Read more »
She is soooo AMAZING! Great interview, great questions. Well done!
@ peteralex89 surely Greece has more important things to worry about than what Macedonia calls itself .. Get a grip , you sound like one of those crazy Armenians and Azeris who always bicker over pathetic little things
You hate ballads and ballads hate you back because you are truly untalented and mainly ignorant of diplomacy!Dear Tijana, let me inform you and all visitors of wiwibloggs.com that it was your country in 1994 who accepted first your temporary name F.Y.R.O.M. until the final and permanent solution of your name problem which will be co-agreed with my country Greece in which the original Macedonia exists before your Slav ancestors came in Balkan..So don’t pretend the depressed-human right-victim/artist because Macedonia is in Greece and your country as journalists correctly said according to UN is F.Y.R.O.M.!The F.Y.R. prothem is not decorating,is separating… Read more »
how unprofessional how unwise to say she hates ballads while competing with ballads, her cheap cheesy lyric song is nothing special, ballads in this contest are thousand times better than her song, she would be very luck and should be happy if she can make it to final with that cheap song and her movement, when I watch her presentation at first I though she was shemale, she can’t even manage to make herself look like a women while she is women, I will not rise up to sky with your cheap song, even Aram mp3 song is much much… Read more »
By the video, I’ve spotted someone linking to her official video on the social media – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU7Edft3eRY&feature=youtu.be
Damn, this is another case of “I love you, but I don’t like your song” Because I love Tijana, I think she’s awesome, is just that her song is not precisely my favourite 😛
@ Mex – Spot on!!
Dramatization:
Molly: “I’m British.”
Proles: “Ahammm…”
Tijana: “I’m Macedonian.”
Proles: “OFF WITH HER HEAD! THROW HER TO THE LIONS!!”
PS:
Tolmapuppet Twins: “Maybe there’s a day you’ll be mine… Telling all the world to show some love…”
Proles: (Well, isn’t this a cute love song!)
@Marcelo N
Or “I am from the “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”. 🙂
Yes, she seems fierce! Love her vocal range and how she uses it, and the song is uplifting.
On the issue of names… does anyone really think it is wrong to say “I’m from Macedonia”? Like anyone will say “I’m from the Russian Federation”, “I’m from the People’s Republic of China”. I live in the Federative Republic of Brazil, and I would just say “I’m not Brazilian” nevermind the former name/s of this country as a Republic, colony or a brief episode as a self-asserted independent empire!!
Reporter: Okeeee we have tijana here from former yugoslav republic of Macedonia
Tijana: AHM FROM HMADEONIJA.
I just love this woman xD
It would be fair to call it just Macedonia .So I am angree with her .
Between thanks for the explanation did not know the definition of b*tch. ; )
@ spirik , I think her identity and pride for her nationality and country is more important than some measly points from the Greeks with a chip on their shoulder !!
Well, when she states that she is from Macedonia, she just doesn’t act right and creates negative feelings between her country and Greece. I really think she needs the votes from Greece too to sail through to the final, so she should act more diplomatically regardless of what her position to the Macedonia affair is.
I love how she corrects the interviewer at the start when he says fyr Macedonia and she says I’m from MACEDONIA !!
Fierce bitch …. Would love to see her and conchita in a song off . Bitch keeping it real !! Lol
She´s such a bitch… I love her!!!
Join her to a trip to the sky? I will get the weed….
Loveeeee her
