France’s Eurovision 2012 act Anggun is serving serious editorial realness in the promo for her debut fragrance Grace.
After a busy 2014 that has included international concerts, a collaboration with Il Divo and a judging seat on Indonesia’s Got Talent, she’s also found time to drop her debut fragrance.
The add was shot in Paris and in retrospect a fragrance seems a natural move for the experienced songstress whose endorsement-deals already include a prominent contract with Pantene Indonesia.
There is some ruul, ruul elaborate narrative behind Grace and it hints at Anggun’s parallel Eastern and Western careers forged off the back of world-conquering hit ‘Snow on the Sahara’.
“Grace is the English translation of my name,” she clues up in the making of video for the perfume.
Anggun expands saying she wanted, “to tell a story between East and West, something elegant, poetic, with a twist…so this is my story and I hope you like it.”
The concept is inspired and the visuals are to die for. If this doesn’t fly off the shelves, frankly we don’t know what will!

She looks very fierce! As a half-Indonesian myself I’m very proud for what she has accomplished.
Oh and I’ve bought Anggun Grace.. From what I experience open notes are citrus and lemongrass.. quite typical but pleasantly fresh, and then the white tea and ginger. maybe lavender & musk and other eastern aroma like she promise. Interesting, it should sell well. The closest resemblance might be J.Lo Still, while the Japanese Sake in J.Lo Still is overpowering Anggun Grace use some rare mixture of white tea as its star. Is it okay for a lil informative correction?
‘The add was shot in Paris earlier this year..’ actually the add was shot at 2012 right after her competing in Baku. In other words.. she wanted to give full commitment and prepared this perfume for almost 2 years!!
Lesson learned, failure is not an excuse to let you down. Bounce back and rise higherrrrrr 🙂
