Few Eurovision fans can forget Farid Mammadov, the Eurovision 2013 runner-up who shared the stage with a man in a glass closet and a woman in a red dress. His song “Hold Me” held all of us for three minutes—and then some. But Farid doesn’t sit still. He’s released a new single—and on his birthday—called “Adima Layiq”. That means “Worthy of My Name” in english.
Walking alone on a highway and standing alone in a field, Farid begs the girl he loves to love him back: “Become worthy of my name/Be mine, be mine…” Our man of steel struggles not to cry.
Speaking on his official Facebook page, Farid delivered this message to all of his fans:
“I hope you will be pleased. Also thank you for the congratulations. Every kind word is very valuable for me! Have a pleasant viewing! Thank you for your time!”
As Farid looks for love, we want to wish him a very happy birthday!
What do you think of his video and song?
love you FARID
I liked this one a fair amount.
He should come back to Eurovision!
Welldone Farid……Good luck
