And we’re off! The 2015 national final season has officially begun, with FYR Macedonia making a welcome return to the NF circuit after three consecutive internal selections. There was glitter and flashing lights aplenty, but the stakes were high. After intense competition between 20 acts, we’re pleased to report that Daniel Kajmakoski will represent FYR Macedonia at Eurovision 2015 with “Lisja esenski”. The entry is composed by Joacim Persson, with lyrics from Aleksandar Mitevski and Daniel Kajmakoski himself.

Lisja Esenski means Autumn Leaves. It’s actually a love song, she made his word from gray to colorfull and like they’re flying free in love like the autumn leaves in the wind…

Not half bad, but there’s something missing on it. It needs something to be more dramatic. Anyway, they can take lessons from Ukraine, who every year picks a song that at first sounds bad and makes it a masterpiece. “Lisja Esenski” has the potential to be a really good song with some changes. I don’t know what changes they are, that’s their job. Even if it stays like this, i think it will obtain a 20th place on my top, the question is if it will make the semifinals. But it is too soon to answer.

Please can someone – anyone! – tell me what “Lisja Essenski” means, or what the song is about? Lyrics are important! I need to know what he’s singing about! Please??? (I speak French and Italian if it helps) THANKS!

Igor Cukrov (Croatia 2009) , Moje 3 (Serbia 2013), Danijel Kajmakoski (F.Y.R. Macedonia) huge star from many talent shows, who falled at Eurovision and flop cariers afther talent show and Eurovison.

Instant star wili be finished like instant star Moje 3 from Serbia 2013 at Eurovision. Moje 3 won at Serbia national final 2013, only because thanks to strong media campaign, thank to huge fun suports who voted 20 times from 1 phone , and because 3 female singers be finalist at huge popular talent shows maybe one month before serbian final.

My first impression is: not bad, but nothing memorable either. However for being the very first song, Daniel have the time to improve it, so let’s wait how this develops…

Lousy sound quality during the live performance, so thanks for the link to the studio version, MTD.

The song is quite average, really, but my lack of understanding of the lyrics probably doesn’t help. Reminds me of a certain recent song by Train in the same key whose title I don’t remember.

For all those who doesn’t want to hear strange “live” noises during MRT’s broadcast – the studio version – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk0HOxoIm5o

I think that it’s a weak song. It should be remade, add some “fine tunes” and repack it. Maybe that will add color.

The verse is weak, but the chorus is strong, and pretty catchy. Better than last year? Definitely. Will it qualify? If he can improve his vocals, and liven up the verse, probably.

Overall, pretty nice.

I actually really like it. Macedonia is completely underestimated in ESC every year but hopefully Europe will be able to see how great this song is and vote it through now.

I’m not saying it couldn’t qualify @Branko. It seems nice now, because it fits with the current season. When it comes to May, why is he singing about autumn? Surely we want the year to go slower not faster (but not where Eurovision is concerned) Lol! At least you can eat cheesecake in any season 😛

The singer is good, but he won the qualifications practically without song, so he has to make a difference.

If a song about Cheesecake could qualify to Eurovision Final, why a song called Autumn Leaves couldn’t?

Tamara was by far the best technically, but I do feel she would have got lost in the mix if she was sent to Vienna very easily. With a bit of polishing, this could be good. Way better than last years entry anyway (Sorry! #wobbleboard) but yes! I just don’t see how this is going to connect in Vienna, Autumn leaves. In May? Unless they make it like he can’t wait till it’s autumn again. I’m not sure, but for me this was my 3rd, behind Tamara and Nade! Was hoping for a sisterly reunion lol.

Bad choice, Martini Vucic 2.0. brrrrr

Well only uptempo man between 10 ballad ladies. No wonder he wins the televote.

I really hope they fail again and leave the contest afterwords. Just like in Latvia, televoting should be forbidden in Macedonia!

Yeah, Tamara was way better. Better song, better performance. Actually, Kajmakovski would’ve been my 9th choice… Oh well. Here’s to hoping they post-produce the crap out of it to make it exciting!
