Eric Saade knows he needs to create some buzz around himself now that he’s back in Melodifestivalen, and he’s been doing it in a very entertaining manner. Aftonbladet recently interviewed Eric for its young audience video feature “BOOM“. The conversation veered away from his Melodifestivalen comeback and toward something less family-friendly. We don’t know want to sound vulgar, but we have to report the truth. It was all about…his male member!
It turns out Eric has started a major trend on Instagram recently by using the hashtag #DPOV (dick point of view). He tells the reporter how it has all started: he was tired of people uploading the same boring pictures of the food they were about to eat, so in order to spice things up, he took a picture of his food from the point of view of his penis. And from then on he just kept taking pictures of different objects and people from this unique angle, accompanied by the now infamous hashtag. Eric even demonstrates to the reporter how he does that, and tries to take a #DPOV picture of her.
But that’s not the only dick-related issue discussed in this interview. The reporter presents Eric with the famous picture we have all seen on Instagram, where Eric is sucking an ice bulk shaped like the male genital, and awaits an explanation. “I had my birthday” he says in his defense, “my friends arranged a surprise party…I don’t even know what drink it was. I laid it on the table right after the picture was taken. I was forced to take this picture!” And we say: Yeah, right. Sounds very, very convincing….
The reporter then asks Eric what he thinks about the following sentence: Having a dirty mind makes ordinary conversations much more interesting. “What do you want me to answer?” He laughs, “I think the sentence is accurate”. The reporter then asks to know in which instances and Eric answers: “In most instances. Maybe not in an interview with Aftonbladet“.
Watching this interview makes us wonder what Eric has in store for us in his Melodifestivalen song. Will his song “Sting”, composed by Fredrik Kempe, contain some reference to #DPOV? Probably not. But will Eric’s show on stage contain some unexpected gimmicks in this style? The answer is only one month away!
I love Eric, but this is so wrong..I am really disappointed!
After someone like Conchita Wurst, the desperate seek of attention and focus became a pattern in Eurovision .. and considering those with no music talent or input to offer … this is all they have left. Sad but that’s the way it goes and to be honest I don’t really see people orr the Eurovision fans really that upset with it. Many are wondering or will be wondering about Eric’s genitalia for quite a while at least until he shows up in the next MF and Eric’s goal will be achieved.
It’s desperation, this is. Such a shame cos he’s seriously got without having to play up to the press.
That’s just wrong 🙁
