Edurne is a name you might want to remember y’all: especially if you’re a fan of Spain at Eurovision.
When wiwibloggs reported Edurne’s possible participation yesterday, one of our readers pointed out she has TV show commitments and that they ruled her out of going to Vienna for Madrid in May 2015.
That show isn’t a problem anymore though: Edurne has quit and is leaving Todo va bien behind her.
Why did she quit?
Homegirl is focusing on her music career and specifically an “international project”.
If that doesn’t set your Eurovision senses tingling y’all – then get this: she’s rumoured to be collaborating with Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson on her new album.
Observant fans will recognise Sánchez-Ohlsson’s Eurovision pedigree. He wrote Brequette’s song ‘Run’ for Mira Quien Va a Eurovision and Pastora Soler’s song ‘Quedaté Conmigo’. Brequette nearly won the national final and Pastora made the Top 10.
He also wrote boy band D’Nash’s song ‘I love you Mi Vida’ for Helsinki 2007 and contributed 4/10 songs to the 2010 national selection.
Call us cray, but Spanish Fredrik Kempe plus Rumoured Singer plus Strong Eurovision connections has Team Wiwi convinced Edurne is a lock in for the TVE-ticket to Eurovision 2015.
What do y’all think? Is this just coincidence or are we gonna be seeing Edurne in May?
