Not long ago we saw Severina — Croatian diva and Eurovision 2006 contestant — taking a naughty turn in “Uno Momento”. Then we saw her getting all emotional in “More Tuge”. Well now we’re pleased to see her earning some much-deserved R&R in her sun-drenched video “Generale”, which means “general” in English.
Her newest collaboration involves the rising all-girl trio Uciteljice (Teachers). Severina is very smart when choosing who to work with. The music video for her summery hit “Uno Momento” included Serbian girl band Ministarke, and it has broken all YouTube records in the Balkan region.

In the video for “Generale”, Severina recalls the summer when an insensitive guy cheated on her with another woman. She does this while washing herself in a hat-shaped bathtub.
Together they call him to be a man and admit his mistake: My general, you’re shooting at a civilian/Look at my eyes when you leave me.
This is yet another break-up song, and this time the collaborators fail to keep up with Severina. Her previous collabs deserve an equally fabulous follow-up, and this isn’t it.
Even so, the accordion and violin work well together and give us a military feel, which of course fits well with the theme of the General they are singing about.
