It’s been a good year for Softengine. First they achieved Finland’s best placing since Lordi’s victory. Then they released an amazing album and made the top 5 of Team Wiwi’s Top Tracks of 2014. Well now Softengine is nominated for the Finnish Grammys, or Emmas as we call them in up north. Softengine is fighting for the win in two categories — newcomer of the year and artist or band of the year. We know who we’re backing!

Among the nominees are some other familiar names for Eurovision fans. Arion, the band who competed in Finland’s selection for Eurovision 2013 is also nominated as the newcomer of the year and Finland’s Eurovision representative from 2004 Jari Sillanpää is nominated as the male artist of the year. Other nominated artists include Katri Helena (Eurovision 1979 and 1993) and Diandra (UMK 2013).

You can vote your favourite artist in the best artist or band category here. The winners will be crowned at Emma Gaala on February 27.
