Emmelie de Forest, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, has collaborated with Unser Song Für Österreich 2015 act Fahrenhaidt on their song ‘Wildfire’.

The video for this has serious feels y’all. Channelling all her ‘Drunk Tonight’ angst, Emmelie mesmerises the camera and fuses it to her spiritual ‘Rainmaker‘ side.

It shows the mature sound and style Emmelie has developed since her barefoot performance of ‘Only Teardrops’ almost two years ago.

“It was written in the ocean and written in the trees,” Emmelie tones wistfully across twinkly piano keys.

The production from Fahrenhaidt is exquisite and symptomatic of their focus on nature too.

Why is this important for Unser Song Für Österreich?

The really intriguing thing though? Fahrenhaidt have only announced one of their two songs for Unser Für Österreich.

And what better way to ensure you win than entering a former winner? Germany did give ten points to Emmelie de Forest after all.

Add that to a song that sounds like the perfect follow up to ‘Drunk Tonight’ and ‘Rainmaker’ and you might just have all the elements there for Emmelie to make a come back y’all!

What do you think? Do you enjoy ‘Wildfire’ or think Fahrenhaidt have something else planned for USFO? Comment below peeps!

Regardless of whether this is their song or not, it is beautiful and well done. They may just be using it as a single to get a little publicity as well.

I’m surprised she’d want to be back in Eurovision so soon. Is her actual career not working out too well?

I don’t like former winners returning and especially if it’s not even for their country. The song sounds good but I hope it isn’t getting submitted to USFO.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like former winners to participate again. No matter how good the song is or which country it is…

i’ve only listened to it once and now I can’t stop humming the melody, so catchy and yet beautiful. I guess it would be great if she had entered the competition again
