Following SVT’s release of the 30-second snippets for the Melodifestivalen third semi-final, we launched a poll asking our readers to vote for their favourites. We gave y’all 24 hours and, after collecting around 700 votes, can now reveal you want insomniac Ellen Benediktson and Sami heartthrob Jon Henrik Fjällgren to go direkt till final at #melfest. Based on our readers’ results, Isa will head to Andra Chansen with her song “Don’t Stop” along with Kristin Amparo with “I See You.” You can see the complete results below and watch our semi-final preview. Well how did that work out for her?…not even a second-chance…yikes. She shouldn’t have pulled a Miley-esque image change so early in her singing career. From Songbird, she could’ve followed it up with an uptempo song that’s still got some guitar-vibe to it..better luck on your third-time..maybe in a few years we’ll see her again.
after seeing the live performance I’m hugely disappointed with song 7. He was just yodeling the whole song! Hey-yah-hey-yoh. But of course he’ll go through, have you heard the arena’s reaction…?

@Ruben, I agree, MelFest2012 was just horrible… except for Loreen and MAYBE Danny. I remember watching the 1st deltavling of 2012 (with Loreen) and she was the only act I found tolerable. Honestly, this MelFest might not be the best, but it definitely isn’t the worst.
I think Isa might be able to pull an Ace Wilder and qualify directly to the final. Most likely along with Jon Henrik Fjällgren. Then Ellen and Kristin to andra chansen. If not, I think Kristin and Jon will to go the final and Ellen and Isa to AC. But who knows anything’s possible (kinda).

If you find this the worst Melodifestivalen ever then I think it’s quite obvious that you haven’t seen Melodifestivalen 2012 and 2013. Which were (much) weaker.
I do think Kristin has this semi sown up…it’s clearly her and Jon to finale…which is a repeat of Semi 1 and 2 where Songs 6 & 7 go through…Ellen will be lucky to get to Andra Chasen.

Everything feels like a version of something we’ve heard before
I really think this has been one of the worst Melfests in quite awhile in terms of songs…the songs have not be great…the qualifiers have been predictable…there hasnt been any “moments”…and every week I think this is where things will pick up and they never do…sure a bad melfest is miles better than most national finals, but I think it speaks to an overall weak year for Eurovision…I realize why Christer wanted fewer songs this year…he probably had a hard time choosing 7 much less 8 for each semi You know when Estonia is the early front runner with a… Read more »

I will love it if Ellen go direkt till final. Love it. But I can see Jon Henrik getting the top spot on tonight’s Deltävling though.
