Loïc Nottet, Belgium’s Eurovision 2015 singer, has revealed his Eurovision song “Rhythm Inside”. According to RTBF, Loic will reveal the song in its entirity this evening just before the The Voice Belgique airs at 2010 CET. It’s a bit of a homecoming: he finished as runner-up on the show’s last edition.

Philippe Coppens of Sony Music Entertainment, Loïc’s record label, said they sought to distance Loïc from Eurovision stereotypes. “Our first objective was to choose a song that definitely does not sound like a typical Eurovision Song Contest song,” he said. “The world of Loïc Nottet is very far from the contest”.
They’ve certainly done that. Loïc didn’t try to copy his Australian friend SIA, but rather a Kiwi: This has magnficient shades of Lorde! The lyrics suggest he’ll philosophise on good and evil: “We were put here together to discover, the heart that beats within each other, we’re gonna rap-bop-bop-tonight, and if we die tomorrow, what do we have to show for the wicked ways down below?”
Around November, RTBF, the Wallonian broadcaster, announced that Loic had been internally chosen.
Hopefully tonight we will see Loïc sing his song live in The Voice Belgique, but so far: Do you like the song? Or will this different taste of music not work for Loic?
I’m shocked to hear that Loic has a girly voice. His voice reminds me of Matthew Koma. Loic will have a bigger opportunity to qualify to the final if he sings “Rhythm inside” in French… he’s from the French part of Belgium. I like his song a little bit, though.
“and we’ll never be roya….errr…. rhythm inside?”
But seriously it is an almost carbon copy of Royals.
I mean people have said ‘Glorious’ and ‘Amazing’ were copies of ‘Euphoria’ but this is almost blatant plagiarism and it even has the royal style backing vocals.
3/10
I was NOT expecting this! I was expecting something a lot more boring and more… classic of ESC. But this sound very un-ESC, different, contemporary and indeed, something Lorde would do. I must say I’m not that big of a fan of Lorde, but I like the sound of this. It will certainly become one of my favourites.
It is fresh …. He should have named this THE WARRIOR just for the lol’s.
Finally something that someone relevant might want to put on their album.
Keep it up
I don;t think he can impress live, as all live performances are as annoying as his voice. Song is not my taste, but is good. Way out of Lorde’s league though.
I dont like it at all, its so boring. Definitely not a winner or maybe it is..thanks to this awful year lol 😉 I hope Sweden. Azebaijan or Russia have something better to offer. I need a killer song, i mean a song that blows all the entries out of the water, like going WOW. This is not an amazing entry, come on -.-
Best song so far, much more interesting than all the other songs.
I don’t like it. 24th on my list, wedged in between Latvia and UK
I really like this!
1 Slovenia
2 Estonia
3 Spain
4 Malta
5 Germany
6 Italy
7 Belgium
8 Ireland
9 Belarus
10 FYR Macedonia
I am one of the biggest Lorde fans to ever live so I absolutely love this. The one thing I’m concerned about is how similar this actually is to Lorde. It’s exactly her style and even his voice sounds similar to Lorde’s. But I shouldn’t be complaining, I love it.
Oh wow! I wasn’t expecting that! Sounds just like a Lorde song with his amazing vocals! Belgium are a dark horse!! 🙂
I’m digging this! 😀
Wow, amazing!
I like it! The song is good, and that guy has talent! However, I’m afraid it lacks that commercial catchy tune that usually makes a winning entry.
But hey, that guy wanted to do something different, something of his own, and he did it! Just for that, I think he can be praised! And it clearly stands out in this year’s monotone and boring line up (except Spain). Let’s see if it’ll work… Good luck Belgium!
And we’ll never be rooooooyals 😛
Great song though! 😀
I completely adore this! Its so amazing! Well done Belgium, you e redeemed yourself after last year!!!
this could be a major shocker folks, it has potential
From the snippet I feel like I’m not going to like it.
FULL SONG!! http://picosong.com/2Bhd/
Seems promising
Sounds very modern and amazing! But his voice sounds like a woman 😀 Remind me of Lorde and I love her songs! Great Belgium!
It’s not bad, finally no ballad!
I want to hear the whole song first.
You’re saying that’s not a woman singing??? Hard to belive, really.
I still like what I hear though, different and intriguing.
Who invited Lorde? Haha.
meh, Meh, MEh, MEH!!
@Pet: Belgium doesn’t get any “sympathy” votes from any nation (being culturally/historically close or neighboring – The Netherlands have only given them 12 points two times in the history of the contest), just like the UK. However, unlike the UK, Belgium didn’t win the ESC 5 times (just once), so Belgium has more things to complain about than the UK. 😉
Doesn’t sound promising. Based on that 30 seconds, I think Belgium will miss out on the final.
It sounds amazing! It seems like it will be my favourite Eurovision song of the year.
I hopes he keeps the shaved head. I don’t like the way he looks with hair…
OT: While Loic Nottet’s voice might not ‘match’ his boyish look, 16+ year old Nadav Guedj’s still photo from his clip presentation on March 12th suggests the boy earned a few more pounds making him look almost like a young Tony Soprano in gold chains.

Sounds modern, I love it very much and I hope when they reveal the whole song it won’t be disappointing. So far, Spain and Latvia are my favorites and this could be my next favorite song after them.
If this was the UK entry, it’d end up bottom, being Belgium who knows. Not a big fan of this one either.
Eventually I have found my favourite. 2015 will be my Belgian year, so!
My recent favourites:
2014 – United Kingdom, Molly (17)
2013 – The Netherlands, Anouk (9)
2012 – Italy, Nina Zilli (9) & Israel, Izabo (FQ)
2011 – Italy, Raphael Gualazzi (2)
2010 – Germany, Lena (1)
I was expecting to not like it cause I didnt like his voice from when he was announced. This works very well and is an interesting song, I like it
here’s more about the videoclip en song:

he reminds me Lorde :)) style and voice
If they add little more beats and noises and music etc. they could place in my top 5 and ESC top 5.It’s very VERY good, but there is room to improve
Sounds promising, but I really have to wait for the whole song. You can’t tell much with a snippet.
He does have a very feminine voice but so does Adam Levine. It sounds incredibly current and not typical festival song. I still believe this years winner will be a guy. With so many women and duets, the guys will stand out. And he’s young and hot.
I think this year will be the historic badest line up ever. Sorry for the anniversity this year
I think this years will be the historic bdest line up ever. sorry for the annivwrsity this year
Coooooooool!!!!! 🙂
i love most of the songs this year also this one. the only problem is that he sound like a girl, i waited for the guy to start to sing but he was the guy lol
This seams not good for ESC 2015 with this song and the others
Once again a bad song to the line up of the 60s anniversity of Eurovision Contest. Now a bad song from Belgium too. The party we all hope for this year of ESC 2015 with good song I´m sorry will not be. Bad song!
it’ll stand out definitely since its not a ballad. I’ll need to hear the rest of the song first but i guess it’s already dividing opinions lol
Ok judging from the snippet alone i’m not impressed really honestly
I’m waiting to hear the full version later today to be able making clear evaluation about the Belgian entry…
But i’m not excited now anymore as i used to before the snippet comes out for the song that i’m gonna listen….Anyway..
It sounds GLAM <3
His voice sound like voice of singer from San Marino from junior eurovision 2013 , who are represent San Marino at Eurovision 2015.
OMG it’s so bad
