Genealogy — Armenia’s Eurovision 2015 supergroup — have already recorded the first part of their postcard. With six members they’re the largest group competing this year, but they made sure to work all their angles so they could squeeze everyone into the shot.
In the postcard Genealogy members receive a surprise package from Eurovision organizers with an invitation to Austria. What exactly participants find in the package won’t be revealed until the next scene is shot in Vienna. Organizers are still keeping it secret. Could it be a fragment of the Eurovision heart? Is it a piece with which to “build a bridge” as mentioned in this year’s slogan? Or is it part of Conchita’s beard?! Only time will tell…
The shooting took place in one of Armenia’s most picturesque locations – the spa town of Dilijan.
“The process was incredible, we had a great time,” says Genealogy singer Tamar Kaprelian. “So what we did is Essai picked up the box, it had a ribbon on it and the rest of us would come around him and we would open it and act like ‘ohh, surprise!'”
Essai Altounian – “… so, maybe we did it 20 times the same scene because he needed it, so every time we would open the box we would find something – some money, a plastic card, a knife or even a cellphone with a turned on camera on video mode to capture our emotions…”
Mary-Jean O’Doherty – “… I had so much fun. It was really relaxed to shoot this clip for Eurovision and it was surprising each time that we filmed. We had a surprise each time…”
Vahe Tilbian – “…we shot the postcard in a very picturesque place that actually, totally looks like a postcard. It is amazing, I enjoyed it…”

Monika really need to have more publicity in this website. I wanna see some updates about her. Hope she won’t end up like Vilija and Tijana with less publicity here last year…
Going back to the topic, never have I ever thought before that Tamar is so beautiful. No wonder she is on top of the rankings in this year’s Eurovision’s next female top model poll.
Monika Kuszynska(Poland) already filmed a postcard. Photos are on Facebook, but people with wiwiblog have it in the ass.
Ooooooh that location is amazing <3 Passed through there briefly once 😛
I thought the six of them might each receive their own package in their home country and have like the screen split into 6 frames and then have them come together in Austria, but I think this will definitely look good too!
~~ The site 4 how much long now after the busy season of the NFs came to its end doesn’t post that many articles each day and its slow…I keep refreshing wiwibloggs all the time with the hope to see new articles but i left with the desire…And there are times that i will go to sleep or been away being busy with my life and when i come several all new articles will have been posted… 😛 Hopefully when this Vision’s season really kicks off 4 good many articles will get posted frequently here <3 🙂 ~~ In a… Read more »
The song and its powerful lyrics really touch my soul and express me…<3 *Face The Homophobic Shadow*…. Personally have become way cautious guarded with people… With so much homophobia, mean people & bullies around 4 fear only i have became too thick as a person…Not trust anyone as Lana Del Ray says…Not trust even your own ''homophobic'' shadow and you have to face it…Im exactly like that…Take your measures or just see people messing with you then.. The videoclip is just wow! <3 Really fantastic! It couldn't get done any better really! <3 That scene with the empty 4 chairs was… Read more »
It’s so weird how these people absolutely did not know each other and each one is from a different part of the planet, yet they look like a one big happy and beautiful family. Truly building bridges. Good job, Armenia!
Regarding the song, given the fact that they each sing a different genre and it’s hard to squeeze 3 minute song with 6 vocalists, I think they have done a decent job with the song. 7.5/10 on the song.
Oh amazing..! <3 🙂 This year's armenian entry just rocks! <3 😀 The concept with the flower is so cool! <3 This act with these 5 blooming flowery great HOMOgenic artists that make the petals of the G.ene.A.olog.Y armenian flower and with dear Inga is simply the no1 best ever act that Armenia Hayastan has sent to our Vision! <3 😀 I love the song *Face The Shadow* that has a strong powerful message against war promoting Peace in our planet… <3 It really could be used in a campaign as a gay themed song against homophobia & the hate… Read more »
