Earlier in the spring Greek goddess and Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou performed “Otan Aggeloi Klene” (“When Angels Cry”) at the Greek national final. The song seeks to unlock the good in each of us, as seen in the breathtaking video clip. There are some angels on Earth that work their magic to help the homeless, the sick and the victims of bullying, racism, and more. Amen, Helena!
Now the heavens have sent us “Angel”, the English version of “Otan Aggeloi Klene”. Both songs were produced by Amir Aly, Henrik Wikström and Bobby Ljunggren for Lionheart Music, in Sweden. This is the same team behind “Survivor”, your favourite song to win Melodifestivalen 2014. Sharon Vaughn, the genius behind Jedward’s “Waterline”, Agnes’ “Release Me” and Helena’s “Survivor”, provided the English-language lyrics.
