Rehearsals started yesterday in Vienna and one of the fan favourites, Loïc Nottet, chatted with us after his first rehearsal, talking about about Eurovision, Lorde and dancing.

Our own William Lee Adams sat down with The Voice Belgique runner-up after his first rehearsals. Loïc talked about the origins of “Rhythm Inside”, saying he didn’t write it specifically for Eurovision. “It’s just something I wrote for me.”

He also addressed the Lorde comparison, saying that while he shares a love of darkness, he wasn’t thinking of Lorde when he wrote the song. The theme of darkness continues with his newly released “Alice In Nightmareland” dance video. Loïc explained the idea behind the video and why he was drawn to the dark side of this classic story, adding “I prefer nightmares.”

Watch more of what he said in the video below and see all our Eurovision 2015 interviews here.

Loic is a true artist. “Rhythm Inside” stands out from the pack with a different sound. It deserve Top 10 at the very least. I would be happy if it won ESC2015.
