William: During their first rehearsal earlier in the week, Italy’s Il Volo confirmed why they are a favourite to win Eurovision 2015. The vocals came easy and, even if their camera angles hadn’t been sorted yet, they managed to make it look like they’d been on this stage for weeks. This morning, as they took the stage for a second time, they upped the ante even more. Their LED images of ancient Rome — stone lions, naked statues — seem sharper and more 3-D. It makes “Grande Amore” seem even more grande. Camera shots also capture more of the action. For instance, going into the first chorus the camera captures the entire stage and we see clouds suddenly rise in the background. The clouds may be coming, but we suspect Il Volo to breakthrough: With an act like this they can weather any storm.
wow, im so impressed. First i didnt like the song that much but you have to admit that they are amazing live, much better than belgium (he is creepy, this will turn off people, wont win mark my words!), estonia and russia for example. If there is any justice this will win!!!
We Il Vololovers have loved the boys for years. It’s like having three Grandsons in this competition. We can only wait and see, while encouraging them. No matter, win or lose, we LOVE those Italian boys/young men.

Italy is boring and overrated every year. In this situation I prefer Sweden, which is likewise treated as Italy, but more deservedly.
I still think they look a bit off and static on stage. And they stand so far away from eachother that I don’t see them as one group. It’s like they stand in line to sing. But with desent camera work it might look better.
