When you’re down down low, you can always watch our interviews with Maraaya! The Slovenian duo are always a pleasure. They chatted to our William straight after their first rehearsal. And the conversation ranged from their headphones to married life and arguments, although it’s hard to imagine them ever being in a bad mood!
Marjetka and Raay told us about their impressions of the run-through. The couple felt really at ease on stage (except for a minor a high-heel incident) and they were probably the only ones to find the stage small! Maraaya also commented on their daily life and what it means for them to be a full time couple, both in their professional and personal lifes. They said they argue a lot. @Mario I totally agree with you about her voice. I wouldn’t call it fake, rather choosing the tone that portrays best the emotion in her voice. It is very common in the charts that singers voices sound nothing like their speaking voices (Ellie goulding, George Ezra, lorde, Adele, Paolo Nutini, Duffy, Birdy, etc – & in Eurovision the UK’s Bianca)

Martina that was on EMA of Slovenia’s NF has really special & unique voice like Marjetka…Her *Alive* was even my own #1 favorite with *Here 4 You* as my 2nd favorite..
At first i did not know that they were real couple… 🙂 They got married in 2010 actually.. 🙂 They are cool people 🙂 Especially Marjetka <3 🙂 I have seen that she was criticized of having fake voice & way of singing…Well i do not agree…To me her voice sounds like its her own personal & she doesn't fake it.. Maraaya of Slovenia can do really great finishing in the top10 or top5 even.. 🙂 I can see them finishing 1st-2nd-3rd in the SF.. 🙂 Well it would be wonderful if our Vision was hosted by Slovenia at last… Read more »
