This year marked Eurovision’s 60th anniversay, but the contest is certainly not showing its age. That’s in no small part due to the youth injection provided by several teenage acts. In fact, five countries decided to send teen superstars to Vienna – Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Israel and San Marino. We asked y’all to vote for your favourites, and hundreds of you obliged. After counting 3,123 votes, we can now reveal that Belgium’s Loïc Nottet was your 2015 teen idol.
The “Rhythm Inside” singer polled an impressive 40%, garnering 1,242 votes. Israel’s Nadav Guedj finished a distant second, but still managed to get 883 votes (27% of all those cast). So it seems that when choosing the next teen idol, wiwibloggs readers and the rest of Europe think alike, since these were the only two to make the Saturday night grand final. Molly Sterling, Anita Simoncini & Michele Perniola and Anti Social Media finish out the poll, in that order. You can watch all the acts’ rehearsals below, along with interviews. Israel’s song is the only one (not to mention Il Volo’s “Grande Amore”) I listen to. I really like listening to it and dancing to it when I’m getting drunk! Summer hit! 😀
Good results <3 Loic is amazing <3
Here is my own ranking 1) Israel ~ Although the singing part of Nadav in certain parts is kinda not that appealing…The music especially is amazing <3 It would make the perfect summer dance remix! <3 2) San Marino ~ I like the song but i really get why Michele & Anita didn't qualify…They were just complete outsiders on the semifinal.. 3) Ireland ~ Boring song & it was not injustice that it didn't pass to the final.. 4) Belgium ~ I do not really like the song as it really passes to me as plagiarism rip off of *Royals*…But… Read more »
My favorites were Loïc and Molly.
Belgium or Estonia should win this year. Loic was better than Mans, actually. He sang a really hard song.
Molly should be in the final. Great song, good voice, beautiful performance. She was better than a lot of acts from the 2nd semi final. It’s so sad that the televoting killed some great songs this year (Malta, Ireland…)
Both Loic and Nadav were brilliant, with the rest of the teens also honoring their age group quite a bit. It’s nice to see that after 60 years Eurovision is becoming younger and fresher. It was one of the most contemporary ESCs to date and I hope this trend continues.
