It was only a couple of months ago that the Queen of Eurovision, Conchita Wurst, graced the shores of the land down under. Apparently she cannot stay away though, and will return to Australia later this year.

South Australian newspaper The Advertiser has revealed that Conchita will return to Australia this November, headlining Feast Festival, Adelaide’s queer culture festival.

According to The Advertiser, Conchita’s scheduled appearance has raised the eyebrows of the local arts community, seeing as it has an average annual deficit of $70,000 and organisers were responsible for the dismissal of their artistic director as a method to cut costs.

Feast Festival founder Helen Bock has also hinted criticism at Conchita’s involvement in the festival, stating that “while it is exciting for South Australia and Adelaide to have international artists in Festival programs, it appears Feast is doing that at the expense of local artists and our own LGBTQI creative industry.”

Conchita’s return to Australia isn’t entirely controversial though. Conchita is also due to make appearances in both Sydney and Melbourne. She will performance on The X Factor Australia, with Guy Sebastian returning to his judging role on the show this year.

Chief wiwiblogger William sat down with Conchita in Vienna prior to Eurovision 2015 to discuss her life since winning the contest in Copenhagen, including the debut of her self-titled album. Check out the interview with the Queen of Eurovision below!

Wiwibloggs, I was just thinking about the fact that when it comes to wins,, Sweden and Denmark are the best countries in Eurovision since the new millenium. Denmark with two win 2000 and 2013 and Sweden 2012 and 2015. But if we should look at just overall results Sweden IS the best country in Eurovision since the start of the new millenium. Even hosting the contest 3 times in 15 years….. (though they win in 1999 making that win ineligible.)

Oostenrijk: Why are you not even trying to hide your gloat? It’s really not becoming. And by the way, who’s second in the charts?

Wow, this is really awkward. Elina Born & Stig Rästa are the new number one in Austria’s most wanted radio charts, and are also already ahead of Mans Zelmerlöw in iTunes. Goodbye to Zelmerlöw 😀
