Belarus has never let Eurovision defeat deter it and this morning BTRC confirmed it will be back for vengeance in Stockholm next year.
Despite placing eighth in their semi final with the juries, Uzari & Maimuna failed to advance to the Grand Final and “Time” became the first Belarusian song in two years to be left behind in the semis.
BTRC are keeping tight-lipped about details for their selection method for Eurovision 2016 and have hinted that preparations will take place in the new 2015-2016 season.
Minsk has used a variety of national and internal selections in its recent Eurovision history.

Milky with their gay music…
However, they would’ve qualified for sure.
The best song this year was definitly ”My Dreams-Napoli” followed by Time.
They should change the voting system (Malta aswell), the jury can choose their entry and not the public, they almost have nothing to say.
Goodluck Belarus
@Sparrow – Agreed. Every other Baltic country has had at least one strong (or at least memorable) entry over the years but Belarus is still leaving us waiting. At least, they are going to keep trying I suppose.
Ohhh they did not wait for Russia to confirm their participation this time.
*Yawn*
A country yet to bring anything substantial to the contest.
NEXT..
Things I’d be expecting from Belarus next year: -them sending another dude named Yuri without even knowing it (2014 was Yuri Vaschuk aka TEO, 2015 was Yuri Navrotsky aka Uzari and I don’t think Belorussian media noticed that their country sent two different guys named Yuri for two succeeding years) [I’m just kidding about this part but if it happens then, it happens] -them failing to heed Alexander Rybak’s advice and help (if MILKI had been chosen for Belarus, I have a great feeling Belarus would advance to the finals and possibly win if they tried hard enough) -probably Lukashenko… Read more »
Belarus would be the country, that interests me the most as a host for ESC. Unfortunately their songs are mostly really poor. My favourite is last year’s cheesecake. Time is good too, but also quite bland. A shame that MILKI did not get chosen in the NF. Accent is so catchy….
It seems that my music taste differs from the one of many others eurofans..
Anyway…
Ok more wiwi news articles please 🙂

Belarus might not be a favorite country of mine in Vision but this year managed to make me feel much more fan of Belarus with the GreAtY song *Time* they sent in EuroVision.. <3 At least there are numerous others countries that i favor less than Belarus.. If Belarus was about to withdraw from our Vision i would do mind their absense though.. They had really good years in EuroVision several times.. Like this year <3 Uzari just rocked! <3 2012 with Litesound & *We Are The Heroes* <3 2013 with Alyona & her *Solayoh* that was pretty good pop… Read more »

Well everyone has his own different separate unique music taste.. A song will be loved/liked by some eurofans & will be disliked by others…This is how it goes.. 4 anyone to think that *Time* was the worst song of 2015 is just non agreeable at all 4 me.. There were certainly others songs that were worse or less liked than *Time*.. My least liked songs were the one of Austria & Moldova.. The WORST song indeed was the one of Finland…It is the worst song as well of all times in history of our Vision.. I LOVED *Time* on its… Read more »
Belarus always qualifies when Eurovision is in northern Europe (Finland 2007, Norway 2010, Sweden 2013, Denmark 2014) and always fails to qualify when Eurovision is somewhere else.
Glam!
Qualification is inevitable as it’s in Sweden, which isn’t too good considering the only Belarussian song that I kind of like is Solayoh. Time was the worst song of 2015, Cheesecake was just poor (their 3rd best entry ever though), and most of their songs before 2011 were boring and crap. They are beginning to become one of my worst countries in ESC, second to Latvia (but Latvia had my favourite in 2015).
*Time* honestly was better song than the one of Milki so this song deserved to win in belarussian NF & represent Belarus in Vienna’s Vision 4 the record..
————————————
Pity that Uzari with Maimuna failed to qualify as they delivered a great live performance..
Belarus’ non qualification was the #1 biggest injustice on the 1st SF..
Well i really dunno if Belarus will gonna win next year but you never know on the other way..
Hopefully 4 them they will manage to qualify to the final this time..
They’re qualifying next year since the contest is in Scandinavia. I thought Uzari and Maimuna would be the Belorussian act that would break the curse but as soon as I saw the staging it was obvious they were done for.
Hopefully we get a good song again. Belorussian entries are very hit and miss for me.
Mixed feelings… on the one hand, Time and Solayoh were awesome, but Cheesecake was the worst song of 2014.
Hopefully they’ll submit a good song that gets to the final but won’t win because a contest in Belarus would be problematic due to the government…
They just should have just went with Milki, with them qualifying was 100% sure. People like that sort of stuff.
Phew..
You know it would be weird to see them in the withdrawing-queue, but when they haven’t confirmed participation I am always scared.
