Finland: Krista Siegfrids sings for the ladies in “Better On My Own”

Who can look like a supermodel when they’ve got mascara running down their cheeks? Krista Siegfrids!

The proof comes in the video release of “Better On My Own”, Krista’s new single about finding inner strength during trying times. She may have found happiness in her own life (the “Marry Me” singer finally landed that elusive ring from her man), but she knows the pain of her sisters. She tells us to ditch relationships when they turn sour and never to stand for bad behaviour: “I am a piece of heaven you’re more a map of Rome, Baby I don’t need your love! I’m better on my own.” Holla!

Speaking exclusively to wiwibloggs, Krista says that she wrote “Better On My Own” for a friend. “She was in a bad relationship where her boyfriend cheated on her time after time,” she says. “Thank God she eventually left him! The song is about them.”

We’re used to Krista standing up for those in need. Her debut album “Ding Dong” kept clubbers on the continent dancing — and to the beat of equality. Krista and her ding dong team campaigned for legislative equality in Finland, even taking her message to neighboring countries. Last year she famously conducted a gay marriage ceremony at Vega in Copenhagen. When we look at her we can’t help but say “We do!”
