Light your fireworks and raise your glass of Sangria because Spain’s national broadcaster RTVE has announced that it will host a National Final to select the country’s representative at Eurovision 2016! Spain is returning to the public vote after a year of internal selections which did not go as well as expected. UPDATE: RTVE has confirmed that six acts will take part in the NF.
The national broadcaster has informed that the six acts will be performing in the National Final haven’t been selected yet. They are still in talks with some of them, apparently, so they kept thin-mouthed about the names. For the moment, we only know that they will be “famous, young and talented” and will sing “current pop music”.
According to Spanish fan site eurovision-spain.com some of those acts include Maverick and Xuso Jones.

Rumours have sprung about other possible artists on the National Final. There’s Mägo de Oz, there’s Abraham Mateo, there’s Raúl López, there’s María Isabel and there’s all our wishlist of participants. Will any of them go on to represent Spain in Stockholm?
