Earlier this week host broadcaster SVT revealed the artwork and slogan for Eurovision 2016. Producers are asking us to “Come Together” and will build the show’s theme around that idea.
It joins a long and growing list of slogans that have become part of the Eurovision fan lexicon. So far we have had everything from Denmark’s social-network-influenced “#JoinUs” to Azerbaijan’s “Light Your Fire!”, which was a more direct reference to the host country itself.
But which of the slogans and themes has been your favourite? We have listed all of the slogans from Tallinn to Stockholm below for you to review. You can vote for as many of your favourites as you like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to click the box next to every slogan you want to support before pressing submit.
2011 was the best but 2013 and 2006 were cool too
people so basic
Eurovision slogan 2017
I voted for True Fantasy, because of the syllable FAN. A nice play on words and beside the Fanclub started in Finland.
eurovision 2118
We are all gays!
My top 5:
1. Building Bridges
2. We Are One
3. Share The Moment
4. Feel The Rhythm
5. Come Together
Oslo 2010: worst slogan and worst logo
I’m totally with Hippo. (And you know it’s going to be a good day when you can start it by typing that sentence.)
For me the slogan itself is an irritant. You know they’re going to be awkwardly forcing it into every other sentence, and it’s always a meaningless platitude. Only two of the 14 slogans are even remotely about music.
Most of these logos are a designer’s nightmare. How did they even get approved.
Malmo and Copenhagen had the best execution.
1. We Are One
2. Building Bridges
3. Confluence of Sound
4. Feel The Rhythm
5. True Fantasy
6. Feel Your Heartbeat
7. Light Your Fire
8. Awakening
9. Share The Moment
10. Under The Same Sky
11. Modern Fairytale
12. Join Us
13. Fantasy Bird
14. Magical Rendez- Vous
Come Together is nice by first sight, the logo too. Let’s see how they’ll use it though.
Istanbul, Baku and Vienna
Belgrade!
You left off the best logo: Stockholm 2000. My favourite on the list was Helsinki.
Belgrade, Oslo, Baku and Vienna
Moscow – no slogan. Just a meaningless marketing gimmick hosts are increasing repeating every time they’re on camera
Lol no runaway so far – my favourite is we are one Mälmo 2013!
I’m quite partial to #JoinUs, especially as Emmelie’s “Rainmaker” featured “Join Us” as part of its lyrics!
