She’s a Swedish starlet who has had immense success with the international juries at Melodifestivalen, coming first with them in 2014 and third just last month.
And now singer-songwriter Ace Wilder is winning even more fans abroad, with her song “Riot” featuring in the international trailer for the highly anticipated film “Angry Birds”.
According to the movie’s official description, the animated flick “takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds” who must contend with “mysterious green piggies.”
As they battle to save their home, Ace’s bad-ass beats become the soundtrack to their fight.

We were instantly smitten with the song when we first reviewed it way back in October 2014.
There’s hand-clapping, stomping, blaring trumpets, and another easy-to-remember chorus that ends up on loop inside yo head. The theme of female emancipation works well with Ace’s image as a ball breaking dancing queen. You don’t wanna mess with her. ‘I am the force of an earthquake child/ Lost in the jungle gonna get you wild/ I am the full blown destruction queen/ Light up the match I’m the gasoline.’ YASSSS.
Of course, it’s not the first time that Ace’s music has been used internationally.
In January her song “Stupid”, which we also loved, featured in the promo clip for Season 5 of the HBO hit series “Girls”.
At Melodifestivalen Ace told us that her sister discovered the fact her song was being used and recorded it on her phone.
You can hear Ace discuss that below.

Come on, ‘Busy Doin’ Nothin” was the masterpiece.
In case they would have sent her Copenhagen instead of Sanna Nielsen…there was no Austrian victory. It could be Stockholm 2015, not 2016.
I don’t get all that obsession with Ace Wilder. Her 2014 song was AWFUL (I can’t believe how it almost beat Undo, which was a MASTERPIECE) and Don’t worry was just OK. She’s nothing special.
That movie looks absolutely AWFUL.
Ace Wilder’s songs have been featured in many U.S. programs. The most recent one, before the Angry Bird’s trailer, was the chorus from “Do It” in Oxygen’s feisty reality show “Bad Girls Club”. P.S. William, I think you will enjoy the catfights and the high level of shade being thrown around. Haha!

Great. I love Ace. She has a great personality
Hey wiwibloggs. In the odds, Croatia dropped to 6th, and the top 5 now is Russia, Sweden, Australia, France and Ukraine. Also, it’s about time she goes international. Sweden holds her back. Literally everyone else that wasn’t from sweden rated her in their melfest top 3, so it’s great that she is finally doing what’s best for her career.
That is normal, Finland loves Sweden.
