Stockholm’s Hard Rock Cafe has hosted music legends including The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Miles Davis and Iron Maiden. And on May 11 it will host some of your favourite Eurovision 2016 stars as part of the inaugural #WiwiJam. Kicking off at 6pm and running until late, the event is free and open to everyone. Due to overwhelming interest, you’ll need a ticket to enter. You can get your ticket here. Come listen to the stars, meet the team behind wiwibloggs and absorb the atmosphere of one of Stockholm’s premiere music venues. And bring your camera so you can snap a selfie with this Czech starlet…

Gabriela Guncíková at the #wiwijam

She stands and oh how she does it! Our seventh confirmed artist is the Czech Republic’s Gabriela Guncíková.

Bringing a killer voice and one stunning look, the “I Stand” singer is hoping to become the first Czech act ever to qualify for the grand final. She rose to fame after finishing as runner-up on Cesko-Slovensko SuperStar in 2011, the Czech-Slovak version of Idol. Since then she has wowed crowds all over the Czech Republic and Germany with her raw voice. Now she’s ready to impress all of Europe — including the crowds at the #WiwiJam.

Gabriela Guncíková at the Euro Party in Zlín (interview)

Get ready to lift your lighters! Gabriela will sing her soul out in the first edition of the #WiwiJam, and her power ballad will make you want to light a fire and stand on your own two feet.

Speaking to wiwibloggs in Zlín earlier this week, Gabriela oozed charm and Czech cool as she explained the meaning behind her song.

“We all have our targets, we have dreams that we want to reach and then there are barriers. Sometimes we have integrity to do things as we want them and we have to keep this integrity to do it because we know how we want to do it in the best way. Sometimes we’re losing but we have to still keep going.”

Her father plays in an Iron Maiden tribute band and she’s known primarily as a rock chick. But her musical interests are vast, which you can hear in her dreamy Eurovision ballad.

“I love rock, I love metal…since I was a kid. [But] I love music generally, and I love classic pieces and movie soundtracks — John Williams, Hans Zimmer. Any music that is really good and beautiful, music that has drive. I’ve never wanted to be just in one genre because I love to learn and be flexible and do so many things.”

Gabriela is the seventh artist to join our guest list, following in the footsteps of Greta Salome, Barei, Krista Siegfrids and others. We have a few more names in the pipeline, so stay tuned…

@Nicky91

I will vote for both Croatia and Malta. I hadn’t heard that ISIS’ next target is Eurovision, I hope that nothing bad will happen.

It would be very sad if she won’t make it to the finals. She is such nice, talented and positive person. I also like the song. It is one of the few calm songs this year.

@Nicky91

As I have said before, there are many great songs this year. I would love to have Spain, Malta and Serbia in my top 10, but there are only 10 spots.

3. Iceland
4. Germany
5. Armenia
6. Moldova
7. Ukraine
8. Norway

However, I have doubts about the live performance of Samra in Stockholm.
